Using eyelash extensions is a handy temporary solution for applying makeup because you don't need to use mascara or false eyelashes. A certified technician will glue the eyelash extensions one by one using a special glue. If you want to use eyelash extensions, but are afraid that they will come off in the shower, do not expose your eyelashes to water for at least 2 days after installation, wash your face in the sink, and do not use facial soap and makeup remover containing oil when cleaning the face so that the eyelash connection remains neat and durable.

Method 1 of 2: Preventing Eyelash Joints from Exposing Water
Step 1. Make sure the eyelash extensions are not exposed to water for 48 hours after the eyelashes are attached
The glue for attaching the eyelash extensions is completely dry after 2 days after the eyelash extension. So, don't wash your face or wet your lashes for at least 48 hours after lashing.
When you're at the salon, the technician who does the eyelash extension will tell you when it's okay to get your lashes in contact with water
Step 2. Use cool water when showering so that there is no moisture in the bathroom
The water vapor causes the glue to melt, causing the eyelash extensions to come off. If you're used to taking hot showers and showers full of steam, lower the water temperature to keep the glue strong. Turn on the fan in the bathroom to remove moisture when the shower is turned on.
Do not enter the sauna or steam room if you are using eyelash extensions
Step 3. Wash your face in the sink, instead of under the shower
The eyelash extensions may come loose due to the pressure of the water from the shower. Avoid this by washing your face in the sink. Sprinkle water on your face with your fingers. Do not let the lashes come into contact with water when rinsing your face.
Tip:
Washing your face in the shower with hot water can dry out your facial skin because the water temperature is too high.
Step 4. Pat the towel over your face above and below your lashes
When drying a wet face, do not let the lashes touch the towel because the eyelash extensions can come off. Instead, dry your wet face by patting a towel over your upper and lower eyelids. If you want to apply makeup, wait for the lashes to dry on their own.
When applying facial moisturizer, avoid the upper and lower eyelids because the oil content in the moisturizer can dissolve the glue at the eyelash connection
Method 2 of 2: Using the Right Products
Step 1. Do not use facial soap that contains oil
Choose an oil-free facial soap to clean your face because all types of oil dissolve the glue at the eyelash joints. Usually, oil-free facial soaps are marketed for acne-prone skin because they don't clog pores like soaps that contain oil.
You can buy oil-free facial soap at a cosmetic store or supermarket
Step 2. Pour facial soap on a cotton sheet so that the eyelash connection is not exposed to soap
Apply the soap on the face using a cotton sheet. Do not use a washcloth to apply facial soap, especially on the eyelids. As much as possible, do not lather the eyelids for a while.
Step 3. Use an oil-free makeup remover
If you use a lot of cosmetics for eye makeup, avoid products that contain oil to remove makeup. Use an oil-free makeup remover to prevent the lashes from falling off. This product can be purchased at cosmetic stores or supermarkets.
Tip:
Before connecting eyelashes, do not apply eye makeup with waterproof mascara and eyeliner because it is difficult to remove if you do not use an oil-free makeup remover.
Step 4. Use a cotton ball to apply makeup remover
Instead of using cotton sheets or balls that can damage the eyelash extension, dip a cotton ball into the makeup remover and gently dab it on your eyelids. Do not let the cotton lashes when applying makeup remover.
Use a special product to clean the eyelash extensions because they contain ingredients to strengthen the glue on the eyelash joints. This product can be purchased at cosmetic stores or supermarkets
Step 5. Clean the eyelash extensions with a foaming cleanser
If the eyelash extension gets on the eyeliner, clean it with an oil-free foaming cleanser. Apply foaming cleanser on the eyelids using a soft cosmetic brush. Clean the eyelids by patting a wet washcloth so that the eyelash connection does not come off.
