Step 1. Start with an introduction
Tell the audience who you are, what grade you are in, and why you want to be student council president.
Step 2. Choose 1 to 3 main issues you want to address as chair
Make sure that the steps you will take to address the issues are realistic and achievable.
- Speak collectively. Use the words “We” and “Ours” to replace the words “I” and “mine” or “you” and “yours”.
- Tell the audience how you will perform to achieve your goals.
- Explain what changes will occur after you finish management.

Step 1. Write an opening that can help you grab the attention of the audience
- Some people start with a famous quote or joke worthy of the occasion.
- State the main points of your speech briefly.

- Talk about the past at the beginning. Talk about proud achievements, rewards for learning, and school memories that relate to all students.
