What will you cook tonight? The delicious grilled chicken wings will excite the family's appetite at the dinner table. Chicken wings can be prepared with various spices and sauces. You can make the chicken wings spicy, sweet, or savory, according to your taste. Grilled chicken wings are usually served as an appetizer, before the main course is served. If you like, you can even use grilled chicken wings as a side dish for rice.
Ingredients
- Chicken wings
- Oil
- Marinade
- Sweet sauce
- Spice
Step
Step 1. Make the marinade
You can marinate the chicken wings with spices according to taste to create a different taste. For example, you can use teriyaki seasoning, tomato sauce, sweet and sour sauce, or cooking wine to marinate the chicken wings. To create a sweet taste, use sugar or honey. Don't forget to sprinkle salt and pepper, as well as oil so that the chicken doesn't stick to the roast.
-
Marinate chicken with red wine seasoning. If you can't eat red wine, replace it with apple cider vinegar. Also add garlic, onions, Dijon mustard, and seasonings to taste (such as soy sauce, salt, and cayenne pepper).
-
To make spicy chicken wings, marinate chicken in hot sauce and melted butter.
-
Make an Asian-flavored marinade by mixing tomato sauce and a little soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar. If you like it spicy, add a little sauce or chili powder. To enhance the taste, add scallions.
-
Mix marmalade with chili sauce, soy sauce, and rice vinegar to make grilled chicken wings with sweet and sour sauce.
Step 2. Marinate the chicken in the marinade for a few hours before grilling
Step 3. If you prefer dry spices, skip the steps above
-
Dry the chicken with a paper towel first to allow the dry ingredients to stick.
-
Use spices according to taste. You can use Italian spices, paprika powder, turmeric powder, garlic powder, or onion powder. Use a little cayenne pepper or chili powder if you like spicy food, or a few drops of lemon juice for a fresh look.
Step 4. Grill the chicken on medium heat
Coat the roast with oil before grilling to prevent the chicken from sticking.
Step 5. Bake the chicken for about 15 minutes until cooked
When the chicken is cooked, the thickest part is no longer pink. Every now and then, flip the chicken with tongs as it cooks so that the chicken cooks evenly.
Step 6. Coat the tongs with oil before removing the chicken to prevent the chicken from sticking to the tongs
Step 7. Serve the chicken hot with the sauce according to taste
You can use the remaining marinade as a chicken sauce by simmering the sauce until it thickens. If you like, you can make your own sauce, or buy ready-made sauces such as barbecue or teriyaki sauce.
Tips
- Marinate the chicken in a resealable plastic container, large bowl, or baking sheet.
- Make as many chicken wings as you like. Adjust the amount of sauce with the chicken you are preparing.
