Most people put their underwear in their underwear drawer without being folded. However, by taking the time to fold your panties down to make them smaller and denser, you can maximize space while keeping them more organized.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Creating the Basic Scroll
Step 1. Spread the panties out on a flat surface
The front of the panties should face up. Extend your panties so that one end of your waist is closest to you.
Flatten the panties with your hands to make them slippery
Step 2. Fold the crotch of the underwear up
The crotch should be flush with the top of the waist. Now the panties are folded in half horizontally.
Flatten the panties by hand again to make sure they are as flat as possible before rolling
Step 3. Roll the panties horizontally
Start with whichever side is closest to you and work with the other side. This will allow the panties to roll up into small, easy-to-store rolls.
This method can also be used for types of underwear that show the buttocks, although the roll size becomes much smaller when it's folded
Step 4. Store rolls of panties in a drawer or storage area
Arrange the underwear side by side. Make a single layer of rolled up panties so you can easily find what you're looking for without making a mess of your underwear arrangement.
If you prefer neat storage, make several layers of panty rolls
Method 2 of 3: Creating Solid Square Folds
Step 1. Spread the panties out on a flat surface
The inside of the underwear should face up. Make sure the groin is closest to you.
Make sure the panties are as flat as possible by flattening them out with your hands
Step 2. Fold the crotch up
The crotch should be flush with the top of the underwear. Move the panties by hand one more time to make them as flat as possible before rolling.
Step 3. Fold each side of the waist inward
The ends of the waist should meet at the center of the pants. Now the panties are folded in thirds.
Step 4. Flip the panties over
Now the panties are in a neat little square shape. Use this method to save space. This is the simplest and most compact way.
Step 5. Store the panties stacked vertically
Arrange the panties side by side and vertically in the dresser or storage drawer. The panties will look like little files in a file cabinet.
- Now you can choose the desired underwear without making a mess of the other panties.
- If you want to organize things even more neatly, stack them in order of color.
Method 3 of 3: Making Egg Rolls
Step 1. Spread the front of the panties face up on a flat surface
The waist should be closest to you. Move your hands on the underwear so that it is as flat as possible before folding.
Step 2. Fold the waist away from you three times
The crease will lead to the crotch. Do this using the narrowest fold.
Step 3. Flip the panties over
The panties will lie flat with the back facing up and the crotch closest to you.
Step 4. Fold each side of the waist toward the center of the panties
The ends of each side of the waist should overlap.
Step 5. Roll up the crotch until it is flush with the top of the roll
For larger types of panties, it is best to fold them twice.
Step 6. Take a moment to look at the current condition of the underwear
You will see a visible pocket in the center of the roll.
Step 7. Turn the roll inside out three times
This may seem difficult but will become a simple quick move once you get the hang of it. Start by placing your thumb inside the pocket and tightening each side of the open section.
- Use your middle finger to push the fabric of the underwear along the back of the pocket through the open at the front while you fold the outer edge with your thumb.
- Continue until the roll is rolled three times. Basically you're just flipping the narrow waist crease created earlier.
Step 8. Note the advantages and disadvantages of this way of storing underwear
The main advantage is that underwear will not unfold until you are ready to wear it. The downside is that this method is a little more complicated than other folding methods without making the panties denser.
