Step 1. Mix brown and yellow in a 1:1 ratio to produce a goldenrod color

Step 4. Adjust the hue by adding yellow, red, blue, or white
Generally, if you want to adjust the gold color that has been made, use a primary color and white. Adding red will make gold warmer, and blue will make it cooler. Yellow can help balance out a gold that's too warm or too cold. White will make the gold color brighter.
Tip:
If you want to darken the gold, add brown instead of black. This way, the gold hue doesn't turn blue. Black should be used in small amounts, unless combined with gray.
Part 2 of 2: Making Gold Shine
Step 1. Add a little white to make the glitter powder or pigment even more shiny
When creating a shiny gold or metallic color, the shimmer of the color will stand out more when a bright color is added. Add 2-3 drops of white color to the gold color that has been made, stirring each time adding 1 drop. Once the color is 1-2 levels lighter, you can add glitter powder or pigment.
Once you're happy with the color, you don't need to make it any brighter. Most shiny and metallic colors will become lighter after drying
Step 2. Sprinkle some gold iridescent pigment for a more shimmery and metallic color
Purchase gold or pearl iridescent pigments, such as mica pigments, at your local art supply store or online. Add little by little, then stir until evenly distributed. After that, use a brush to check the color of the paint. Place the paint in the sun to make sure it has the desired shine.
