When the phone's battery reaches its limit or is left uncharged for a long time, it stops providing power. If your cell phone battery dies, don't throw it away immediately, because with the following methods, your cellphone battery may be able to function again as usual.

Method 1 of 2: Jumpstart the Battery
Step 1. Gather materials and supplies
Just like a car battery, you can jumpstart your phone's battery just enough to charge a few cells and bring it back to life. You will need the following items:
- 9-volt battery. Any brand is ok. Importantly, the power is 9 volts.
- Electrical tape. The length is enough 12 cm.
- Power cable. An ordinary thin cable will suffice.
Step 2. Connect the power wires to the positive and negative terminals of the 9 volt battery
The positive terminal is labeled (+) and the negative terminal is labeled (-). Remember, use two different wires, one terminal connected to one wire.
- Do not connect the positive and negative terminals of the battery directly.
- Most cell phone batteries have more than 2 terminals. Use the terminal that is farthest from the others, or the one on the outside. The middle terminal should not be used.
Step 3. Cover the joints with electrical tape
Mark which wire connects each terminal, so that the positive and negative terminals are not connected.
Step 4. Connect the cable from the positive battery terminal to the cell phone battery positive terminal
- Do the same for the negative terminal wire.
- Do not connect the positive and negative wires as your battery will short out.
Step 5. Cover the cable connection between the 9 volt battery and the phone battery with electrical tape so that the connection is strong and secure
Place this joint in a dry and cool place protected from heat and water
Step 6. Leave the connection for a minute or until the phone battery is warm
Place in a cool place, away from heat and water
Step 7. Disconnect when the battery is slightly warm to the touch
Step 8. Put the battery back in the phone and try to turn it on
Step 9. Check the battery level when the phone is on
If the battery is almost empty, plug in the charger and charge the battery fully.
Method 2 of 2: Freezing Battery
Step 1. Remove the battery from the phone
Step 2. Put the phone battery in a plastic bag that can be sealed so it doesn't get wet
Do not use paper or foil bags as they are easily permeable to water
Step 3. Place the plastic bag in the freezer, and leave it overnight or at least 12 hours
Use a plate or bowl to prevent the battery from touching the freezer wall and sticking to the ice.
Batteries that are placed in very low temperatures will recharge the cells slightly, enough for the battery to be able to accommodate the power to power the phone
Step 4. Take the plastic bag out of the freezer
Let the plastic warm to room temperature.
DO NOT use the battery while it is still cold
Step 5. Wipe the battery to remove any remaining moisture
Step 6. Put the battery into the phone and try to turn it on
Step 7. Check the battery level when the phone is on
If the battery is almost empty, plug in the charger and charge the battery fully.
Warning
- Do not be too long to connect the 9 volt battery with the cell phone battery. Your cell phone battery may explode.
- Batteries stored in the freezer for too long can also explode. Remember, temperatures that are too high or too low are not good for the battery.
Tips
- If your battery is having problems, try using a different charger first. Most battery problems are due to a mismatched charger.
- When the battery is left in the freezer, make sure the plastic bag is sealed and kept away from food to prevent contamination if the battery leaks. Also, mark plastic bags so they don't get confused with food.
