In the past, sushi rolls were an expensive meal that could only be enjoyed at parties. But now, you can eat it anywhere, anytime. Read the following article to make your own sushi.
Ingredients
- A few sheets of yaki nori (dried seaweed)
- One pack of sushi-only short grain rice
- Vegetables, such as carrots or cucumbers, to taste
- Fish or meat, according to taste
- Mirin (rice wine)
- Rice Vinegar
- Sesame seeds (for inside-out sushi rolls)
Step
Step 1. Cook the rice in the rice cooker
Follow the instructions for seasoning the nori listed on the package.
Step 2. Cut and prepare vegetables, fish and meat
Step 3. Place the nori on the rolling board
Make sure the shiny part of the nori is at the bottom.
Step 4. Remove the rice from the rice cooker and place it in a bowl
Step 5. Moisten the rice with enough rice vinegar
Step 6. Wet your hands, then spread the rice over the nori
Leave about 2.5 cm of space at the top of the nori.
Step 7. Draw a line down the center of the rice with your thumb
Step 8. Fill the rice with the ingredients you have prepared
Step 9. Roll up the sushi with a rolling board
Step 10. Wet the knife, then cut the sushi according to taste
Step 11. Enjoy
Making Sushi Inside-out
- Cook rice in a rice cooker. Follow the instructions for seasoning the nori listed on the package.
- Cut and prepare vegetables, fish and meat.
- Place the nori on the rolling board. Make sure the shiny part of the nori is at the bottom.
- Remove the rice from the cooker, then place the rice in a bowl.
- Spread the rice over the nori, then turn the nori over.
- Place the sushi filling on the bottom of the nori.

Roll the sushi, then cut according to taste.
Tips
- Wet your hands so the rice doesn't stick.
- Wash your hands before starting.
