This wikiHow teaches you how to use a computer to see who has viewed your Instagram story. Although the "Seen" feature is no longer on the Instagram website, you can use the Android version of Instagram on a free emulator like BlueStacks.
Step
Step 1. Install the latest version of BlueStacks
BlueStacks is a free Android emulator that lets you run Instagram (and other Android-compatible apps) on the Windows operating system. Here's how to install it:
- Visit https://www.bluestacks.com in a web browser.
- Click button Download BlueStacks (version number).
- Click Download at the top of the page.
- Select folder Downloads you (or any other desired folder), click save, and then wait for the download to complete.
- If using Windows, open the folder Downloads, double-click the file whose first name is BlueStacks-Installer, then follow the installation instructions that appear on the screen.
- If using macOS, open the folder Downloads, double click on the file containing the word BlueStacks″ and having the final extension.dmg, click install, then follow the installation instructions that appear on the screen.
Step 2. Open Bluestacks
If the app doesn't run automatically, here's how to open it:
-
Windows:
Click the circle or magnifying glass icon next to the Start menu, type bluestacks, then click BlueStacks App Player.
-
macOS:
Open folder Applications and double click on the file BlueStacks.
Step 3. Sign in to your Google account
Since this is an Android virtual tablet, you should set it up using a Google/Gmail account just like you would a real tablet. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to log in and set preferences.
Step 4. Type instagram in the search box and click on the magnifying glass
The search box and the magnifying glass icon are in the top corner of the screen. After that, Instagram will appear in the list of search results.
Step 5. Click Install on the Instagram box
This will open the Instagram page on the Google Play Store.
Step 6. Click Install
This button is green and is located in the upper right corner. After the installation is complete, the INSTALL button will change to a button that says OPEN (OPEN).″
Step 7. Open Instagram in BlueStacks
To do so, click OPEN from the Play Store if you are still on that screen. If not, click My Apps in the top left corner of BlueStacks, then click the icon Instagram (the camera icon is pink, orange, and yellow).
Step 8. Log in to your Instagram account
Click Login (Log In), enter your details, then click Enter. After logging in, a mobile version of your Instagram content will appear.
If your Instagram account is connected to a Facebook account, click Sign in with Facebook under the username and password box, then follow the instructions to sign in.
Step 9. Click Your Story
It's in the form of a circle with your profile picture, located near the top left corner of the screen. This circle plays the first photo or video in the story.
Step 10. Swipe up on the photo or video
If your monitor is touchscreen, use your finger to pan, just like on a phone or tablet. If it's not a touch screen, click on the photo with the mouse and drag the cursor up like a scroll. The usernames of people who have viewed that part of the story will appear in the middle of the bottom of the screen.
- Each photo and/or video in your story has its own audience list. To see who viewed the next story, swipe left to see the next photo or video, then swipe up to display the list.
- To use Instagram on Mac or PC in the future, go to BlueStacks, click My Apps, then click Instagram.
