This wikiHow teaches you how to enable and use the " Undo Send " feature in Outlook, which you can use to cancel an email for a limited time after clicking the " Send " button. The " Undo Send " feature is not available in the Outlook app on mobile devices.

Part 1 of 2: Enabling the " Undo Send " Feature

Step 1. Visit the Outlook website
The email inbox will be opened when you are logged in to Outlook.
If you are not logged in, press the button Sign in, then enter your email address (or phone number) and password, then press Sign in.

Step 2. Click ️ in the upper right corner of the Outlook page

Step 3. Click Options
It's at the bottom of the drop-down menu below the "gear" Settings icon.

Step 4. Click Undo send located at the top left of the Outlook window
You'll find it under the " Automatic processing " heading, which is a subfolder under the " Mail " tab.

Step 5. Click the "Let me cancel messages I've sent for:" circle
This option is below the " Undo send " heading in the top center of the page.

Step 6. Select the time limit
By default, the value is " 10 seconds " (10 seconds), but you can choose one of the options below:
- 5 seconds (5 seconds)
- 10 seconds (10 seconds)
- 15 seconds (15 seconds)
- 30 seconds (30 seconds)

Step 7. Click the desired timeout
The time limit selected will set how long you have time to cancel sending the email after pressing " Send ".

Step 8. Click Save at the top of the page
Once you do that, the " Undo Send " feature will be activated and applied to subsequent emails.
Part 2 of 2: Canceling Email

Step 1. Click Options
This button is above the options menu on the left side of the page. The inbox page will be displayed again.

Step 2. Click +New
This option is above the " Inbox " heading at the top of the Outlook interface. A new email template will open on the right side of the page.

Step 3. Enter the information for the email
Since you want to cancel the email after sending it, whatever is entered here is not important. However, you must enter the following information in the fields provided:
- Contact
- Subject
- Message

Step 4. Click Send
It's in the lower-right corner of the email window. Once you do, the email will be sent to the recipient.

Step 5. Click Undo
This option is in the upper-right corner of your inbox. Once you click on it, the sending of the email will be stopped and the email will be opened in a new window. In this window, you can edit the email or click Discard at the bottom of the window to delete it.
