Minecraft Survival Games is a Minecraft mod that allows you to play like the Hunger Games. Twenty-four players battle in an arena, looking for equipment and items needed in the fighting arena. Minecraft Survival Games is very competitive, and you will probably die here a lot. However, with a little practice and preparation you can quickly become a Survival Games master.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Connect to a Survival Games Server
Step 1. Create a valid Minecraft account
In order to connect to a Survival Games server, you must have a valid Minecraft account from Mojang. You will not be able to connect to the server if you have an invalid or hacked account or game. Look for a guide on Wikihow for detailed instructions on how to buy a Minecraft account.
Step 2. Find the IP address of the Survival Games server
In order to connect to a Survival Games server, you will need a server IP address. You can find a list of Survival Games servers on the Survival Games website.
- Servers are sorted by region. Choose the country closest to your location.
- Many servers will be full. Look for servers that have less than 24 players.
- Copy or record the server address to your computer's clipboard. US servers are named "us1.mcsg.in", "us2.mcsg.in", etc., and EU servers are named "eu1.mcsg.in", "eu2.mcsg.in", etc..
Step 3. Run Minecraft
Enter Minecraft and start the game. Click the "Multiplayer" button, and select "Add Server".
Step 4. Enter the server information
On the Add Server screen, you can enter anything for the server name. Enter a server name that is easy for you to remember. In the "Server Address" field, paste or type the address you copied earlier. Click the "Done" button to add the server to the saved list.
Step 5. Refresh the server list
It is possible that the newly added server will be full. Keep refreshing the list of servers until an empty spot becomes available, then join. You will be taken to the lobby.
If the game was in progress when you joined, you will have to wait until the ongoing round has finished playing
Method 2 of 3: Survive the Game
Step 1. Grab the loot as fast as possible
Once the game starts, decide how you want to get the initial loot. Many players will try to loot the Cornucopia early in the round. Decide if you want to risk the crowd and grab some stuff, or just run and hide.
- Do not immediately complete the objects you find. This will quickly make you a target for other players who want the item. Save your gear for important battles later.
- If you decide to head straight for the Cornucopia at the start of the round, grab as many objects as you can and then run away immediately. The Cornucopia is about to turn into a massacre arena, and you don't want to be there.
Step 2. Find the hidden chests all over the map
Most maps have chests scattered around that have lots of useful items. If you know where this chest is, come right away. Not only do you get useful items, but you can also set ambushes on chests for other players.
Step 3. Back up food
Food is very important to prevent hunger which has a direct effect on stamina. Stock up on some food so you can survive in hiding and stay healthy.
Step 4. Build a team
Even if there is only one survivor, you can last longer if you join him. This can be mutually beneficial to you and can increase your chances of survival. You will be easier to win if you cooperate with other people.
- At some point you have to turn against your team members. Make sure to keep an eye on each team member, just in case he attacks you first.
- Often times the offer to join will only be a trap. Be careful when invited to join other people.
Step 5. Pick up the opponent's falling objects
After killing someone, make sure to take some of the things they carry. There may be useful weapons or healing items that can help with your survival.
Most importantly, picking up an opponent's dead object prevents it from falling into the hands of another player
Step 6. Take a little time to assemble
If you have plenty of materials available, you can assemble some better things. This can give you an edge in combat, but assembling can be dangerous. Make sure you're in a safe place before you start assembling, or you could die with the menu still open.
Method 3 of 3: Mastering the Battle
Step 1. Learn how to circle strafe (aka circle strafe)
The essence of Survival Games is to fight with other players. This means that you must have some mastery of combat to survive. One of the most important skills to learn is circular strafing.
- A circular strafe means that you move sideways around your opponent in a circle. This allows you to keep attacking while your opponent has to circle around to face you.
- Press the left or right strafe button (usually A and D), then move the mouse in the opposite direction. This will keep your opponent centered as you circle around the target.
Step 2. Surprise your opponent
You have a big advantage if you can get your opponent's objects. If you can sneak in, you might be able to deliver a few hits that are enough to kill him before he even realizes what's going on.
Step 3. Jump while attacking
Always jump when you swing your sword. By jumping, the chances of dealing a critical hit are higher, so your attacks will do more damage. Jumping also makes you more difficult to hit by other players.
Step 4. Attack from afar
Use bows and arrows to further injure your opponent while maintaining a safe distance. You can use it to attack without telling your opponent your position, or to injure while approaching your opponent.
Step 5. Know when to run away
There will be times when you have no hope of winning a fight, either because you are outnumbered or your opponent has a better weapon. If you find yourself in this situation, run away immediately to recuperate and prepare to return.
Direct opponents who are chasing you at other players. They will probably start fighting so you can escape more easily
Tips
- Create alliances with other players. You guys will be harder to knock down. However, there will come a time when you have to kill other players.
- In close combat situations, repeatedly press the left and right mouse buttons at the same time. It will attack and block at the same time. This helps in short-range combat with tough opponents, but slows you down.
