This wikiHow teaches you how to search for contacts on the Kik Messenger app.

Step 1. Open the Kik app
This app is marked by a white icon with the word “Kik” in green.
If you're not logged into your account automatically, type in your login information first
Step 2. Touch the button
It's at the top of the screen.
Step 3. Touch Find People
It's next to the human silhouette icon with a "+" sign.
Step 4. Touch Find by Username
Use this option if you know the Kik username in question.
- Type your username into the search field at the top of the screen.
- When the user you are looking for appears in the list below the search field, touch the user's name.
- Touch " Start Chat ” to send a message to that user.
Step 5. Touch Find by Phone Contacts
Use this option to search for Kik users saved in your phone's address book or contact list, or to invite someone to use Kik.
- Swipe the screen to find the contact you want to work with using Kik.
- Touch the button “ invite ” to send an invitation message so that the user can chat with you via Kik.
