Gin and juice is a fairly simple combination, but it tastes great. Gin itself is an alcoholic beverage that is flavored with juniper fruit, and goes well with a variety of fruit juices. You can mix gin and juice alone, or add sugar syrup or sparkling water for a cocktail with a different taste. Check out Step 1 below to enjoy your homemade gin and juice mix!

Step
Method 1 of 4: Making Simple Gin and Fruit Juice
Step 1. Pour the gin and juice into the shaker
In general, you need 150 ml of juice for every 45-60 ml of gin. The choice of juice depends on your taste, but usually people prefer to use sour juices over sweet ones.
- For a light cocktail, opt for pineapple, orange, pomegranate, cherry or grape juice.
- For a stronger cocktail, consider grapefruit or cranberry juice.
- You can also mix different types of juice as long as the ratio of gin to juice doesn't change. Try mixing grapefruit and orange juice, cranberry and grape juice, or another combination of your favorite juices.
- Highly acidic citrus fruits, such as lemons and limes, can also be mixed with gin, but are usually mixed with other ingredients, such as syrup or sparkling water, to reduce acidity.
Step 2. Whisk all ingredients
Put the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously in an up and down motion, away from your face and other people. Beat for at least 15 seconds to mix all ingredients well.
Step 3. Whisk all ingredients
Put the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously in an up and down motion, away from your face and others. Beat for at least 15 seconds to mix all ingredients well.
Step 4. Pour the gin and juice into the glass
Open the lid of the shaker and pour the contents into the glass.
Step 5. Decorate the glass
Slices of citrus fruits, such as lemons or limes, will look very pretty, depending on the type of juice you use. You can also add mint leaves to the surface of the drink.
Step 6. Serve the cocktail immediately
To maintain a good balance of flavors, enjoy the cocktail before the ice melts.
Method 2 of 4: Making Gin Rickey
Step 1. Use a medium sized glass, then mix the gin and lime juice
You can use a shaker, tall glass, or other clear glass. You need glasses only for mixing juices, not for serving cocktails.
Step 2. Mix the juice and gin using a mixing spoon
This spoon is a special tool with a long handle, which is designed to stir cocktails.
- Hold the spoon by the twisted end with your thumb, index and middle fingers.
- Insert the spoon into the glass, near the side of the glass, but not touching it. Rotate the spoon handle in a forward, backward and up-and-down motion. Keep stirring for about 30 seconds.
Step 3. Fill the cooled glass with ice cubes until to full
Cool the glass first by placing it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes, or in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before using.
Step 4. Pour the cocktail into the first glass into the second glass
Do it slowly and carefully so that the cocktail does not spill.
Step 5. Add sparkling water to the drink
Do not shake or stir the sparkling water as this can make the taste less "biting". Let all the liquids mix little by little naturally. Sparkling water is perfect for reducing the bitter taste of highly acidic juices.
Step 6. Add garnish and serve
Step 7. Cocktail is ready to be enjoyed
Method 3 of 4: Making Sour Gin
Step 1. Fill the shaker with ice cubes
You can fill it up to half or a little more.
Step 2. Pour the gin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup into a whisk
Sugar syrup is a mixture of granulated sugar and water in equal proportions, heated until the sugar dissolves. Sugar syrup is perfect for reducing the bitter taste of alcohol and highly acidic juices. Pour all three ingredients into the shaker, over the ice cubes, before attaching the lid to the shaker.
Step 3. Shake the whisk vigorously
In addition to cooling cocktails, ice cubes also help mix the syrup with the alcohol and juice. Continue shaking with your hands, pointing the lid away from you and others, for 15-30 seconds.
Step 4. Strain the drink into a cocktail glass
The strainer built into the shaker works, but you can strain the cocktail one more time by pouring the drink through a separate cocktail strainer.
Method 4 of 4: Creating BeauEvil
This cocktail is so easy to prepare and inexpensive! No special glasses needed, no ice cubes needed, in fact you don't even need to refrigerate the glass, unless you want a chilled cocktail! Mix the three ingredients, in equal proportions, into any glass with a capacity of 125 ml. You can sip it little by little or gulp it all down right away.
- 40 ml cheap gin (expensive gin has too strong a juniper taste)
- 40 ml orange juice (preferably squeezed, not made from concentrate)
- 40 ml lemon-lime flavored “soda” (you can use a low-sugar version if you don't want the extra calories)
Attention! This cocktail is so delicious and refreshing that you might just gulp it down completely without realizing it and FINALLY drunk! These drinks are cheap and won't break the bank!
