Elephants are the largest land-living animals found in Africa and South Asia. Elephants are heavy plant eaters and are known for their large ears, long trunk and tusks, and memory. Here is a simple tutorial how to draw this amazing creature. Let's get started!

Method 1 of 4: Draw Cartoon Elephant
Step 1. Draw a circle and a large oblong circle attached to the circle
Step 2. Draw the elephant's tusk using curved lines and the ears using a wide inverted C shape
Step 3. Draw the limbs using a set of parallel lines
Step 4. Add the eyes using small circles and eyebrows using small strokes. Add large protruding teeth using curved lines and sketch a few strokes on the top of the elephant's trunk
Step 5. Draw the entire head and ears using outlines
Step 6. Sketch the body and limbs from the previously drawn outlines
Step 7. Add the tail using two curved lines and a little hair at the end of the tail. Draw the elephant's hooves using curved lines
Step 8. Erase unnecessary lines

Method 2 of 4: Draw a Simple Elephant
Step 1. Draw three circles that are interconnected with each other. Connect the lines with a shape like a membrane
Step 2. Draw the elephant's trunk on the first circle and a fan-like shape for the ears
Step 3. Draw slanted lines that form the legs
Step 4. Draw the eyes using curved strokes. Make a sketch that stands out just below the tusk
Step 5. Narrow down the details for the ears and tusks
Step 6. Draw the whole body based on the outline you have drawn and then add the tail. Don't forget to draw your nails with curved lines on each leg
Step 7. Make short random sketches of the elephant's body, especially to the areas that are usually in the shadows

Method 3 of 4: Drawing the Elephant's Head Front
Step 1. Draw a medium sized circle and add a large oval shape for the head
Step 2. Draw 2 arcs from where the circle and oval meet and a wavy line at the bottom of the circle for the truck
Step 3. Draw the elephant's trunk and tusks
Step 4. Draw elephant ears from where the top of the oval and circle meet
Step 5. Add details to the elephant's face

Method 4 of 4: Draw Cartoon Elephant
Step 1. Draw a medium sized circle and add a large oval shape for the body
Step 2. Draw 2 pear-shaped ovals from the center of the circle to the middle of the oval
These will be elephant ears. This size is ideal for baby elephants.
Step 3. Draw an elephant's eye in the center of the circle
Step 4. Draw the elephant's trunk and eyebrows
Step 5. Draw half of the legs using a "U" shaped line as the elephant's skeleton
The other side of the leg is more of a rounded rectangle.
Step 6. Add details for the legs and draw the legs on the other side using the front legs as guides
Add a tail.
Step 7. Trace with the pen and erase unnecessary lines and add small details as you wish
