Forty percent of mammals are categorized as rodents. However, the species of rodents that usually disturb and damage homes, garages, and yards are rats, squirrels, and squirrels. To get rid of rodents that roam indoors naturally, seal off the entrance to the house so that no more animals enter. Place traps (which are safe) and spread natural rodent repellent like peppermint oil in places frequented by pests. Meanwhile, to repel rodents that damage your yard or outdoor area, reduce sources of shelter and food, then spray predatory urine around the garden to keep pests away. This process takes time and persistence, but can be a safer (and more “friendly”) way to get rid of pests than using chemical poisons.

Method 1 of 2: Getting Rid of Rodents in the Room
Step 1. Seal all holes and cracks in the walls of the house that rodents might use as entrances
Rats can enter through holes in walls or roofs, even the smallest holes, making it very difficult to completely seal them off. However, a more difficult entryway is considered sufficient to prevent animals from entering the house.
- Check for holes, cracks or broken seals in foundations, frames or window and door frames.
- Use caulk, caulking, or other protective product (eg weather stripping) to fill in any holes or entrances found in the house.
Step 2. Exterminate and remove rodents that are currently still in the house
- Use a clip-on mousetrap designed to kill pests quickly.
- Catch the pests using live traps (eg Have-A-Heart products), then take the traps some distance away from home (eg 1 kilometer) before the pests are released.
Step 3. Make your home an inconvenient place for rodents to prevent them from coming and nesting in the future
- Soak the patchwork in the ammonia solution and place the camphor in an open container, then place the two in the corners of your basement, attic, or other rodent-infested area.
- Apply peppermint oil to posts or other areas where pests frequent. You can also spread fresh or dried mint leaves as both the oil and the mint leaves repel rodents.
- Keep a cat. Even if your cat isn't a very good rat predator, at least its smell or presence in the house will keep the rodents away.
- Purchase fox, coyote, or bobcat urine (eg bobcat) from a garden supply store or hunting supply store. Alternatively, you can use used cat litter products from friends or neighbors who have cats. Place litter that has been soiled with cat urine in the basement or attic, or moisten a cotton swab with cat urine and place it around these areas.
- Spread the camphor balls in attics or other places that rodents frequent. Mice don't like the smell of camphor so they won't come to these places.
Method 2 of 2: Getting Rid of Rodents Outdoors
Step 1. Create an environment that does not allow rodents to nest in your yard
- Pile firewood to a height of about 45 centimeters from the ground, and place the pile a few feet from the house.
- Plant shrubs and other large plants with a distance of at least 1 meter from all house buildings.
- Install the bird feeder on top of the post so that the grain or bird feed cannot be reached by the rodents.
- Make sure all trash is put in its place (and tightly closed).
Step 2. Repel rodents from gardens and plants
- Place mint leaves around the garden or garden to form a barrier that rodents cannot pass through.
- Spray predatory urine on trees, shrubs, or soil around parks or gardens. Re-spray the product after it rains.
- Mix in the camphor flakes, gypsum, and red pepper, then spread the mixture around the garden or yard to keep out squirrels or squirrels.
