White and clean soles can make your Ultra Boost shoes look great. Ultra Boost shoe soles are easy to get dirty because the texture is very soft and supple. The rubber undersole (or outsole) as well as the rubbery parts of the Ultra Boost shoe sole can get dirty. Minor stains on the soles of shoes can be easily cleaned using a damp cloth or shoe cleaning pen, while stubborn stains should be cleaned using a washing machine or scrubbing with a shoe cleaner. This can make your Ultra Boost shoes look like new again.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Cleaning Stains
Step 1. Scrub the bottom and sides of the sole of the shoe using a wet tissue
Clean the rubber grooves on the outside and under the sole of your shoes using a damp tissue and then rub gently.
- After cleaning with a wet tissue, dry the sole of your shoe using a dry tissue.
- You can use any type of wet wipes, but it is recommended to use wet wipes with antibacterial and stain remover properties.
Step 2. Use a shoe sole bleach pen to remove stubborn stains
Shoe insole bleach pens can help cover the stain if the stain doesn't go away when you rub it with a wet tissue. Open the cap and rub the pen on stubborn stains. After that, wash the shoes in the washing machine for best results.
Step 3. Blot permanent stains using a white ink pen or an oil-based marker
You can buy these pens and markers at a craft store. Apply it all over the sole of your shoe to get the same color, then wait a few hours for the ink to dry.
Since oil-based paint pens and markers have a strong smell, make sure you're in a well-ventilated room when using them. Get some rest if you feel dizzy
Method 2 of 3: Using the Washing Machine
Step 1. Remove the laces from the shoes
If your laces are also dirty, put them in a special mesh bag, and wash them in the washing machine with your shoes.
Step 2. Put the shoes in the washing machine
Shoes can be washed along with towels, blankets or sheets. However, shoes do not always have to be washed at the same time as other laundry.
Step 3. Use 1/4 cup (75 grams) of detergent or bleach
To care for colored shoes, use detergent to wash them, and use bleach to wash white shoes. Put detergent or bleach in the washing machine tank, then close the door.
Step 4. Set the washing machine to normal spin mode and warm water wash mode
Change the setting of your washing machine to normal, also change the water temperature to warm by pressing or turning the setting dial. Warm water is more effective at removing stains than cold water. Don't worry if you hear a rattling sound when your shoes are washed.
Step 5. Dry the shoes overnight
Store shoes in a dry and clean place. Do not dry the shoes using a tumble dryer, because the shoes can be damaged. Your shoes will be dry the next morning. Reattach the shoelaces before wearing.
Method 3 of 3: Hand Washing Shoes
Step 1. Provide a bowl of water, two scrub brushes, shoe cleaning fluid, and dry wipes
Keep these items near you for ease of use. Use a soft and coarse bristled brush for this process.
- Shoe cleaners can be purchased at shoe stores, supermarkets or online stores.
- Shoe cleaning fluid can be replaced with dish soap dissolved in water in the same ratio.
Step 2. Gently brush the white sole at the edges using a soft-bristled brush
Dip the brush in water then pour a small amount of shoe cleaning fluid over the bristles. Do not brush the sole too coarsely so as not to damage it.
Step 3. Clean the bottom of the shoe using a coarse-bristled brush
Dip the brush in water and then pour the shoe cleaning liquid over the bristles. This cleaning liquid will foam when rubbed. Make sure you clean hard-to-reach rubber grooves and grooves. Rub the sole of the shoe in a circular motion to remove all dirt.
Step 4. Wipe the cleaning liquid with a dry tissue
Clean the foam that is under and on the sides of the shoe. You will need two to three sheets of paper towels to remove all the foam.
Step 5. Dry the shoes before wearing
The shoes can be left to air for one to two hours to dry. Wipe the shoes again with a tissue if they are still wet. Your shoes can be reused once dry.
