This wikiHow teaches you how to sign in to an online server in the Minecraft Pocket Edition app. You'll need an Xbox LIVE gamertag to do this.
Step
Part 1 of 3: Setting Up the Game
Step 1. Run Minecraft PE
The icon is a block of dirt with the words "Minecraft" crossed.
If you don't have Minecraft PE yet, first download the program from the Google Play Store (for Android) or the App Store (for iPhone). You can download it for US $ 6.99 (about Rp. 95 thousand)
Step 2. Tap Sign In For Free
It's in the lower-right corner of the screen. You will be asked to enter your Xbox LIVE gamertag information.
Step 3. Enter your Xbox LIVE email address
Enter the address into the text field on this page.
If you don't already have an Xbox LIVE gamertag, visit the Xbox LIVE site first and create a gamertag
Step 4. Tap Next
The button is near the bottom of the page.
Step 5. Enter the password
Enter your password in the text field in the middle of the page.
Step 6. Tap Sign in
The button is near the bottom of the page.
Step 7. Tap the Let's play button
You will be taken to the main menu.
Step 8. Tap Play
It's near the top of the page. From here, you can join any available server if you have the right information. You can also create your own server that you can use to invite friends.
Part 2 of 3: Sign In to Server
Step 1. Tap Friends
This tab is in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 2. Tap on “Add External Server“
The button whose icon is in the form of a collection of several boxes is located at the top right of the " Add Friend " button.
Step 3. Enter the server information
Enter the name and address of the server in the fields at the top and center.
- On this page there is a third column that says "Port ", but this field will be filled in automatically by Minecraft PE.
- If you don't have a usable server here, try finding and joining a public server. Public servers usually share their names, IP addresses, and other information needed to log in to those servers.
Step 4. Tap Save
It's in the lower-right corner of the "Add External Server" section. The server will be saved to the list in the " Friends " tab.
You can also go directly to the server by tapping the button Play in the lower left corner of this page.
Step 5. Tap on the server name
If you have entered all the information correctly and the server you are logged into is online, it will load. The process may take a few minutes.
Part 3 of 3: Creating Your Own Server
Step 1. Tap the Create New button
It's at the top of the " New World " tab.
Step 2. Tap Generate Random
You can use this option to create your own world that you can play with up to four friends. However, all friends who want to join must use the same Wi-Fi network as you.
Step 3. Tap the Multiplayer tab
It's in the lower-left corner of the screen.
A tab World will also be visible on the lower left side of the screen. You can adjust the world settings from here.
Step 4. Slide the "Multiplayer Game" switch to the "On" position (towards the right)
This option is near the top of the screen.
Once the button is activated, you will be presented with two options named "Broadcast to Xbox Live" and "Broadcast to LAN" listed on this page, in addition to the "Multiplayer Game" option
Step 5. Tap Play
It's in the center-left side of the screen. Your custom game will start.
Step 6. Tap the Pause button
It's at the top of the screen.
Step 7. Tap on Invite to Game button
It's in the upper-right corner of the Pause screen.
Step 8. Tap the name of each friend you want to invite
You can invite up to 4 people (not including yourself).
If you don't have friends yet, tap the button Add Friend in the lower-left corner of the screen to add your friend's gamertag to your profile.
Step 9. Tap Send # Invites
It's in the lower-right corner of the screen. Once your friend joins the server, you can play the game online with them.
The "#" sign indicates the number of friends invited. For example, if you invite 3 friends, the button will say Send 3 Invites.
Tips
- Even though you can play this game with a mobile data plan, you may have to spend a lot of money, and the quality of the gameplay will also decrease because of it. Always use Wi-Fi to get a consistent network connection.
- You can subscribe to "Realms" on a monthly basis for US$7.99 (approximately Rp. 100 thousand) which you can use to create and host public servers even if you are offline.
