There are many options for creating a character in Elder Scrolls Online. If you want to play Nightblade efficiently and make the most of the bonuses, please read this article for tips on character creation and leveling up, as well as information on how to play effectively in this class.
Step
Method 1 of 4: Choosing a Race
Step 1. Play as Khajit
Khajit is a natural choice for Nightblade as it has a race-based bonus for stealth radius. However, the other race bonuses make Khajit even better as a combat-based Nightblade (they also get armor and melee bonuses). Use dual-wield weapons instead of bows and arrows for bonus benefits. Khajit is available at Aldmeri Dominion.
Step 2. Play as a Bosmer
Bosmer is another natural Nightblade choice. This race also has a bonus for stealth plus a bonus bow usage. Obviously, use the bow as a weapon to take advantage of the bonus. Bosmer is available at Aldmeri Dominion.
Step 3. Play as an Argonian
Argonians have healing abilities, which is especially useful as Nightblades will invest heavily in magicka and stamina, instead of health. The bonus natural weapon is the Restoration Staff (not the best weapon for the Nightblade) so you can choose the weapon you like (bows or two-handed weapons are the best choices for the Nightblade). Argonians are not the best race for the Nightblades but in the Ebonheart Pact, they are the best choice.
Step 4. Play as Breton
Bretons are great at protecting themselves and have a wide selection of magicka to use (magicka is used when using class-based abilities). Since this race is magicka oriented, you need to choose an ability that helps Breton attack effectively because his weapon attacks are weak. The Bretons aren't the best Nightblades but in Daggerfall Covenant they are the best.
Method 2 of 4: Selecting Ability
Step 1. Assassination Tree
This skill tree concentrates on dealing maximum damage to the opponent. Using this skill tree you will destroy your opponent easily. The character will be very strong in attack and will act as the spearhead in the group.
Step 2. Shadow Tree
This skill tree concentrates on character stealth, which is making characters invisible so you can attack from a distance without being caught. Most of the skills in this tree are related to the invisible status, but there is a downside. While in the invisible, magicka will not recover. However, at high levels this tree has a skill to increase the character's damage power.
Step 3. Siphoning Tree
This tree is related to the absorption of health, speed and power from the opponent. Whatever your Nightblade play style, this ability is more or less needed to compensate for the low health this class has.
Method 3 of 4: Developing a Play Strategy
Step 1. Fighter
You two playing style Nightblade. The first is a combat-based style, where the character will actively attack and deal maximum damage to the opponent.
-
If this is your style of play, focus on the Assassination tree (and to a lesser extent Siphoning) skills.
-
Use two-handed weapons. The combat is melee and the damage is greater than a bow and arrow.
-
invest some points into health, but the majority of points stay on magicka and stamina.
Step 2. Avoid direct combat
Another style of Nightblade is stealth-based, where the character will avoid crowds to attack enemies from a distance and away from the opponent's view.
-
If this is your style of play, focus your skills on the Shadow tree (and a bit of Siphoning).
-
Use bow and arrow. This option is very obvious because you will be attacking from a distance to stay hidden from your opponent.
-
It's a good idea to invest more points into stamina instead of magicka, because magicka points don't recover when using class-based abilities (most skills on Shadow tree are class-based).
Step 3. Take advantage of sneaking skills
Even if your Nightblade is melee-based, its sneaking abilities should still be taken advantage of. Your character is not a tank, so avoid conflict as much as possible, especially if you are alone. Don't neglect the dodge-roll, which is useful for bypassing traps and straight attacks.
Step 4. Put on medium armor
The skill tree for medium armor has several useful bonuses for Nightblade, including increased chances of landing critical and evasive attacks. The more often the medium armor is worn, the faster the level will increase and the bonus will be earned.
Step 5. Level up magicka
Overall, a healthy magicka level or cache of potions is good for Nightblade. This ability relies heavily on class-based abilities, all of which use magicka. There's also an increase in stamina, as Nightblade will use weapons, but the frequency with which they are used depends on your playing style.
Method 4 of 4: Choosing Craft
Step 1. Choose Clothing
Clothing is related to the manufacture of mdium armor so you can improve the quality of the armor faster. Nightblades usually wear medium armor, so this profession is worth taking up.
Step 2. Wood-Working. If you use a bow and arrow, woodworking is worth picking up. This profession helps to quickly improve the quality of a bow or wand. You don't have to hunt for assembly materials as most of them are quest rewards
Step 3. Keen-Eye. Whatever profession you take, give Keen-Eye some points as it will make it easier for you to find items.
Step 4. Find a dedicated assembly station
In this game exploring is a good thing to do. Who knows, you might find an assembly station for a special item that gives you a special bonus.
