If you want to keep in touch with old or new friends on Facebook, you can search for them using Facebook's Friend Finder feature, and you can use the built-in search filters to narrow your search. You can search for people by location, school, or place of work with relative ease. You can also search for people on the mobile app, but you have to know the exact names of your friends to find them.
Step
Method 1 of 2: Using a Computer
Step 1. Visit Facebook

Step 4. Open the Friends Finder page
In the Friends page header, click the "Find Friends" button. You will be taken to Facebook's "Friends finder" page.
Step 5. Find your friends
Use the "Search for Friends" filter in the right-hand panel to search for your old friends.
- Search for friends by name-Enter the name, or part of the name, of the old friend you are looking for in the Name field.

A list of people who match your filter will be displayed in the left pane. Scroll through the list to see if any old friends show up.
Step 7. Add friends
