This wikiHow teaches you how to get started with voting for events on Facebook. Before starting voting, you must first create an event. You can create events on a personal page, or a page managed by you. Follow the guide below to create an event and start voting on Facebook. This article is for the English language setting of Facebook.
Step
Step 1. Open a browser and visit
Visit the main Facebook page using a browser.
If you're not logged into Facebook, sign in using your email address and password
Step 2. Click Events
It's in the left column of the Facebook page, under "Explore."
Step 3. Click the event title
Select the name of the event for which voting will take place. If you haven't created an event yet, click the blue "+ Create Event" button in the left column. Click here to see more information about creating events on Facebook.
Step 4. Click Create Poll
It's above the box that says "Write something…" on the event wall.
Step 5. Write the title of the vote
The title of the vote is written in the box that says "Ask something…".
Step 6. Click + add option then write voting options
Write the first option for voting next to the plus symbol.
Step 7. Click + add option under the first option to add a new option
Write the second option voting. Repeat this process to add more options as you wish.
Step 8. Click on Poll Options▾ then customize your privacy options
This button is a gray box in the lower left of the poll creation section. There are two options already available. You can check or uncheck this option.
- " Allow anyone to add options": this option allows other users to add new answers.
- " Allow people to choose multiple options": allows other users to select more than one option.
Step 9. Click Post
It's a blue button in the lower-right corner of the menu. After setting the voting to your liking, this button will start voting on your event wall. Other users can take part in this vote.
