While there are many possibilities for what you can do in The Sims 3, over time the gameplay that follows (creating a Sim character, moving up the career ladder, having children, and repeating the plot) can become boring. This article includes some fun, fan-made challenges to try if you have The Sims 3 (base version) for PC.
Step
Method 1 of 7: Managing Family Descendants
Step 1. Create generations
While this may sound similar to the main objective of the game, it is actually quite difficult to do. The goal is to make your character have 10 generations. Start with a pair of characters and make them both have children. After that, take care of the child until he becomes an adult and gets married, then has a child with his partner. This process needs to be followed 10 times until you get to the 10th generation. Also, you may not use cheat codes (cheats).
Method 2 of 7: Creating Interesting Sim Characters
Step 1. Disrupt the character or personality of the character you are creating
Make a Sim character with the personality or nature of "hates the outdoors" (does not like outdoor activities) and make sure he stays indoors. After that, make a partner for him with the opposite nature. For example, Sim 1's character is "slow" (lazy), "couch potato" (has to watch television), "hates the outdoors" (doesn't like outdoor activities), "unflirty" (not good at flirting), and " heavy sleeper” (difficult to wake up when sleeping). Meanwhile, the Sim 2 character who becomes his partner has the nature of " neat " (has a neatness), "athletic" (likes to exercise), "loves the outdoors" (likes outdoor activities), " flirty " (good at seducing), and “light sleeper” (not sleeping too long). Move the two into one small house and see how long the couple can stay together.
Step 2. Make your Sim character hate everyone
Create a Sim character with traits such as “evil” (evil) and “hotheaded” (angry). Take the character to visit public places like parks and make him fight with everyone. Try to be as hostile to other people as possible.
Step 3. Have a mistress for your Sim character
Create a Sim character with traits such as " flirty " (good at seducing) and " good kisser " (good kisser). Get him to have a romantic relationship with as many other male/female Sim characters in town as possible. Watch how long his relationship lasts before he gets caught cheating.
Step 4. Make your Sim character have a best friend
Create a Sim character with traits such as "good" and "friendly". Try to make him friendly with everyone in town.
Step 5. Create a demon character
This character has a red skin that you can change by clicking the circle near the skin tone gauge and experimenting with different red options. Making a male demon character is easier to do because there is a choice of spiky-style hair that you can apply to the character.
Step 6. Create a zombie character
Look for ghosts or undead around the cemetery and create a green-skinned evil Sim character. Give the character the same name as the ghost/undead name you selected earlier. You can even create a zombie family!
Step 7. Create the grim reaper character
Create a black Sim character and apply black to everyday wear, formal wear, sleepwear, sportswear, and swimwear.
Step 8. Make a monster from Greek mythology
This is fun! If you're making Medusa and her Gorgon character, don't forget to put a lot of Medusa's victim statues in her house.
Step 9. If you like Minecraft, create Minecraft characters
Steve's character is quite simple to create. You can simply give him a cyan t-shirt, blue trousers, gray shoes, purple eyes and brown hair for his overall look.
Step 10. Create a werewolf character
Give the character a "neurotic" (uneasy) nature because his fear and anxiety will appear perfect when the character howls at the full moon or meets a regular Sim character.
Step 11. Final tip:
it's a good idea to try to give the character "evil" (evil) for these characters (except the character Steve or other passive humans from Minecraft) because most of the ideas presented earlier are "evil" ideas. After that, have fun with the Sim characters you create!
Step 12. Make ghosts with different skin tones
Find as many different ways as you can to kill Sim characters so you can create a colorful cemetery in your garden or yard. Try to avoid cheating or using cheat codes as much as possible, although in this game it will be quite difficult for you to kill Sim characters.
Method 3 of 7: Creating a Weird Family
Step 1. Create a homeless family
Create family characters with each member having the traits of “kleptomaniac” (kleptomania) and “mooch” (likes to steal). Arrange for their appearance to look messy (eg not providing footwear for every member of the family). Move the family to a plot or vacant lot. Keep them out of park benches or neighbors' houses. When they visit other people's homes, arrange for them to use the bathroom and eat the food in the house.
Step 2. Create a messy family
Make a large family and arrange for the children in the family to fight with each other. Arrange also so that both parents have a lazy nature. See if both parents can successfully raise their children.
Step 3. Ruin other people's lives
Play with one of the families already in Sunset Valley. Choose one of the rich families who have a good job and a luxurious house. Get the family member fired from his job and take all the money. Look at their suffering when all their wealth is taken away.
Step 4. Make a match between a very fat character and a very skinny character
Make a Sim character with a very large body and marry him with a very small character. You can apply traits such as “heavy sleeper” (hard to wake up) and “couch potato” (likes to be lazy) on a fat Sim character, and the opposite traits on a skinny character. You can also combine these traits or make a skinny Sim lazy, while a fat Sim likes to exercise.
Step 5. Create one adult character and seven toddler characters
This is indeed very challenging, but try to create a parental character with traits such as "family oriented" and "good" to make this challenge easier. See if he can care for and raise the 7 toddlers without any of the toddlers being picked up by social workers.
Method 4 of 7: Owning More Properties
Step 1. Own Sunset Valley
If your Sim character makes a lot of money, he can buy properties in the game. See if you make enough money to buy every community land/site in Sunset Valley. You can also try renaming the places!
Method 5 of 7: Changing Game Settings
Step 1. Make the game longer
Change the game settings so that your Sim character has the longest lifespan. Make a character pair have a child (a baby) and play the game as that child. Your Sim character can only get older at the end of each life stage. Therefore, do not make a birthday party about three days before the child enters the age of children. Find out if you can play the Sim character from birth to death using the longest character life time setting.
Step 2. Change the game settings so that your Sim character has the shortest lifespan
Make a character pair have a child (a baby) and play the game as that child. Your Sim character can only mature/get older at the end of each stage of his life so you shouldn't cheat and turn off the character aging setting. Find out if you can play the Sim character from birth to death using the shortest character life time setting. Also find out if you can marry off the character and get a level 10 job, and see how fast you can do it (even if it's hard).
Method 6 of 7: Following the Challenge
Step 1. Accept the challenges given in the game
This challenge is quite simple. You just need to complete every challenge or opportunity that arises for the Sim character you are playing.
Step 2. Complete your Sim character's lifetime wish without cheating
Step 3. Complete every wish that your Sim character has in his life without cheating
However, you may need to turn off the aging settings for this to work.
Step 4. Master all fields
Make your Sim character master all the skills in the game. Learn each skill and try to complete the challenges for each. After that, your Sim character can really master everything.
Method 7 of 7: Enjoying Other Fun
Step 1. Create a story
Create unique Sim characters and turn their lives into dramatic stories with romance, death and parties.
Step 2. Make a video
The Sims 3 allows players to record the course of the game. So why don't you give it a try? Make a music video of your favorite song or be the main star in your own movie. You can upload it to The Sims 3 website after the video is finished to see other players' comments/opinions about the video. You can also make drama films, comedies, romances, and more!
Tips
- If you're really bored with the basic version of the game and can't think of anything else to do, try buying and installing an expansion pack or a stuff pack.
- Make one adult character and seven children or youth characters. Give school uniforms to every child and make boarding schools. Make an adult character the teacher and have fun!
