This wikiHow teaches you how to subscribe to the paid Spotify Premium service. You can do this through the Spotify website and the Spotify mobile app for Android. As of 2018, you will not be able to subscribe to a premium account via the iPhone and iPad versions of Spotify.

Method 1 of 2: Via Android Mobile App
Step 1. Open Spotify
Tap the Spotify icon, which resembles a green circle with a black horizontal line above it. After that, the Spotify main page will be displayed if you are already logged in to your account.
- If you are not logged into your Spotify account, tap the “ LOG IN ” and enter the account username and password. You may need to log in using your Facebook account if prompted.
- If you don't have a Spotify account yet, tap the “ CREATE ACCOUNT ” and follow the prompts shown on the screen.
Step 2. Touch Your Library
It's a tab in the lower-right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Open “Settings”
Tap the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 4. Touch GO PREMIUM
It's a large button at the top of the screen.
Step 5. Touch GET PREMIUM
It's a white button at the top of the screen. After that, the payment page will be displayed.
Step 6. Select payment options
Tap one of the payment tabs in the middle of the page:
- Touch credit card icon to use a credit or debit card as a medium of payment.
- Touch PayPal logo to use a PayPal account.
Step 7. Enter the postal code
In the "Please enter your zip code" field, type the postal code of the billing address.
This postal code may be different from the postal code of your residential address
Step 8. Touch the CONTINUE button
It's a green button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 9. Enter payment information
In the column labeled, add the card number, name, expiration date, and security code.
If you're making a payment with PayPal, you'll need to enter your PayPal account email address and password, then follow the on-screen prompts
Step 10. Touch CONTINUE
It's a green button at the bottom of the screen. After that, you can purchase a Spotify Premium membership. If you haven't used the free Premium trial period, you can access your Spotify Premium account for 30 days for free. If you have already used the trial period, you will be charged 9.99 US dollars (approximately 130 thousand rupiah) when subscribing.
Spotify will charge 9.99 US dollars (approximately 130 thousand rupiah) per month until you cancel your Premium account subscription
Method 2 of 2: Via Desktop Site
Step 1. Open Spotify
Visit https://www.spotify.com/premium/ via a web browser. After that, the Spotify Premium page will be displayed.
Step 2. Click the START FREE TRIAL button
It's a green button in the middle of the page.
If you are already logged into your account via the Spotify website, you will automatically be taken to the Premium registration page. If so, skip the next two steps
Step 3. Enter the login information or click the LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK button
If you created a Spotify account using your email address and password, you can use that login information. However, if you used a Facebook account to create a Spotify account, click “ LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK ” and follow the instructions shown on the screen.
If you don't have a Spotify account yet, click “ Sign Up ” and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account.
Step 4. Click LOG IN
It's a green button on the right side of the page. After that, you will be logged into your Spotify account and proceed to the Spotify Premium registration page.
Step 5. Select payment options
Click one of the payment tabs at the top of the page:
- Touch credit card icon to use a credit or debit card as a medium of payment.
- Touch PayPal logo to use a PayPal account.
Step 6. Enter payment information
In the column labeled, add the card number, expiration date, security code, and postal code.
If you use PayPal, enter the postal code stored in your PayPal account, click “ CONTINUE ”, enter your PayPal account email address and password, then follow the on-screen prompts.
Step 7. Scroll down and click START 30-DAY TRIAL NOW
It's a green button at the bottom of the screen. After that, you will subscribe to a Spotify Premium account.
