Spotify offers a large and growing collection of online music. To get full access to the program, you need to register for a paid account. However, if you are still a student, there is a special offer in the form of a reduced Spotify account subscription fee. You can use it to accompany study sessions and stay awake during the night.

Method 1 of 2: Determining the Requirements
Step 1. Make sure you are a student at an accredited school or university in Indonesia
Currently, this student offer is not available to all countries. To get this offer:
- In Indonesia, you must be a student at an accredited university in Indonesia that meets additional requirements.
- In the United States, you must be "currently" studying or studying (not on leave or recently accepted) at a school or university in the United States.
- In the UK, you must be "currently" studying or studying (not on leave or recently accepted) at a UK school or university, and also have a NUS Extra Card or UNIDAYS account.
Step 2. Prepare an email address from your college or university
In Indonesia, this email address usually ends in.ac.id.
- If you have signed in to Spotify with a non-campus email address, change it by clicking the username in the upper right corner of the https://spotify.com page, clicking " Account ", then clicking the black " Edit Profile " that appears on the main page.
- If the college doesn't provide an email address, you'll have to use an external email account to verify your student status.
Step 3. Set up billing details (address) for the payment method
Payment details must be in Indonesia.
Step 4. Make sure no other promotions or discounts are currently active
To obtain a Spotify student account, you must not use any other Spotify offering.
Method 2 of 2: Get a Spotify Student Discount
Step 1. Go to the Spotify site
Step 2. Click Sign In
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
If you previously logged in using your regular email address, log out (log out) first. Click the username in the upper right corner of the screen, then click "Sign Out". After that, the "Login" and "Register" options will be available
Step 3. Log in or register using your university email address
If so, you will be taken to the Spotify page.
- If you have already created an account using your campus email address, type your username and password into the respective boxes and click the green “Sign in” button.
- If you haven't created an account using your campus email address, click “Sign Up” and enter your details on the screen before clicking the “Sign Up” button
Step 4. Visit the Spotify student page
Click the "Help" option at the top of the screen. This link is a black rectangle at the very top of the window.
Step 5. Scroll down and click “Show All” under “Accounts and Payments”
After that, the “Student Discount” link will open. Click the link, or you can click directly here.
Step 6. Click the registration link
Under the “Getting Started” heading, click the blue link that says “sign up for the student discount today!”. Otherwise, you can simply click here you will be taken to a page that offers Premium plans for students.
Step 7. Click "Get Premium Account"
You will be taken to a page asking for payment details.
If you live in the UK, you will see two green buttons asking if you want to sign up with a NUS Extra Card or UNiDAYS account. Click the desired option, follow the on-screen wizard to sign in or register, and you will reach the payment screen discussed in the next step
Step 8. Enter the details of the credit card or PayPal account you want to register
After that, click “Continue” at the bottom of the page.
Step 9. Verify that you are a student
Click “Continue”, and you will be directed to the verification page.
Step 10. Enter your details as a student
You will need to fill in several boxes, and select the school/university you entered in the drop-down menu at the bottom. If you are connected to the campus wireless network, verification will start automatically. If so, click "Next". You can already listen to and save music using the freshman discount!
Step 11. Upload the required documents
You must upload three documents issued by the campus/school, such as class schedules, transcripts, registration receipts or tuition payments, or application letters. Click “Choose File” and upload the selected files, then click “Send”. Now, all you have to do is wait for a reply email after Spotify has processed your request.
