With the fourth generation PlayStation, sharing content just got easier and more fun! In the latest version of this popular console, you can take photos and record videos of the games being played using the “Share” button on the console controller. However, where are these screenshots stored? Fortunately, the process of searching for videos and screenshots stored on the PlayStation 4 is quite practical and easy.
Step
Step 1. Activate the controller
After turning on the console, you will be prompted to press the “PS” button in the center of the controller. Thus, the wireless PS4 controller will be activated and the login page will be displayed on the television screen.
Step 2. Select a user profile
Each user profile and its icon will be displayed when you activate the controller for the first time. Use the controller to bookmark your user profile and press the “ X ” to log in to the account.
Some profiles require you to enter a password. If the profile requires a password, press the key combination assigned as the password on the controller
Step 3. Open the Dynamic Menu
The PlayStation 4's interactive home screen is known as the Dynamic Menu. You can select options on the Dynamic Menu using the controller's directional buttons or the left stick. Press the right arrow key and move the selector to the end of the row of menu icons until you find the “Library” option.
Step 4. Open “Library”
Sign the “Library” icon (book stack) and press the “ X ” on the controller to access the library. This segment contains various media stored on PlayStation 4, such as games, apps, add-ons or add-ons that you buy for various games, internet browsers, music files, and more.
Step 5. Select Applications
It's in the left sidebar menu, next to the square icon. Access this option on the left sidebar and press the “ X ” on the controller to open it.
Notes:
All non-gaming applications installed on the console will be displayed.
Step 6. Open “Capture Gallery”
This option is indicated by a blue icon with a still image and a film strip. Select this icon using the control arrow keys and press the “ X ” to open the “Capture Gallery” section.
Step 7. Select Start
This option is below the large “Capture Gallery” icon on the left side of the screen. Mark the button using the controller and press the button “ X ” to open the application.
Step 8. Search and select a game or app
All images and videos recorded in “Capture Gallery” are grouped by game or source application. Mark the game or application that contains the image or video you want to view, then press the “ X ” on controller. All videos and pictures from the selected game or application will be displayed.
Alternatively, you can choose " All ” to view all pictures and videos stored on the Playstation 4. This option is indicated by a folder icon. Image content is indicated by the mountain photo icon in the lower left corner. Meanwhile, video content is marked by a film strip icon in the lower left corner.
Step 9. Open the video or screenshot
Use the arrow keys or the left stick to highlight the image or video you want to view, then press the “ X ” on the controller to open it. The content will be displayed on the screen afterwards.
- Alternatively, you can press and hold the " Share ” on the controller to upload videos or photos to Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. After that, select the social media service you want to use to share the photo or video.
- You must connect your Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube account with your Playstation Network account in order to share photos and videos on the internet.
- To copy pictures or videos to a flash drive, plug the drive into one of the USB ports on the front of the console. Mark the image or video on the “Capture Gallery” and press the “ Options ” on controller. Choose " Copy to USB Storage Device ” from the menu on the right after that.
- The SHAREfactory app on the Playstation 4 allows you to edit videos, create video sequences, and add opening segments, stickers, text, and other elements to videos and images on the console.
Step 10. Return to the Dynamic Menu when done
When finished, press the " O ” on the controller to return to the “Library” menu. Press the button " O' ” again to return to the Dynamic Menu.
