This wikiHow teaches you how to see if a message you sent in a Snapchat conversation has been saved. Saving a message is not the same as capturing a screen.
Step
Step 1. Tap the yellow icon with the white ghost image to open Snapchat
If you're not logged into Snapchat, tap Log in, and enter your username/email address and password.
Step 2. Swipe the screen to the right when the camera screen appears
You will see the chat page.
Step 3. Tap on a contact name
A chat window with the contact will open.
- Make sure you don't have any unread messages from the contact.
- You can search for a specific contact by entering the contact name in the field Search at the top of the screen.
Step 4. Swipe down on the chat screen
Your chat history with the contact will shift.
If you or the contact doesn't save the message, you can't scroll through the screen
Step 5. Find the message on the gray background
This background indicates that your message has been saved by both you and the contact. Messages you save will have a vertical red line to the left of them, while messages saved by contacts have a blue line next to them.
