Method 1 of 3: Sign Out of Dropbox Account on macOS Desktop App
Step 1. Click the Dropbox icon on the menu bar
This open box icon is in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 2. Click Accounts
This option is characterized by outlines in the shape of a human head and shoulders.
Step 3. Click Unlink This Dropbox…
You will be signed out of your Dropbox account. A login page will be displayed if you need to sign in to a different account.
To reconnect your Dropbox account with your computer, click the Dropbox icon, then sign back in to your account
Method 2 of 3: Sign Out of Dropbox Account on Windows Desktop App
Step 1. Click the Dropbox icon in the system tray (system tray)
It's usually in the lower-right corner of the screen, in the same section as the clock. Look for the blue and white open box icon.
If you don't see the icon, click the arrow pointing up to display additional icons
Step 2. Click the gear icon on the Dropbox window
The menu will be displayed afterwards.
Step 3. Click Preferences…
Step 4. Click Accounts
This option is the second icon at the top of the window.
Step 5. Click Unlink This Dropbox…
You will be signed out of your Dropbox account. A login page will be displayed if you need to sign in to a different account.
To reconnect your Dropbox account with your computer, click the icon and then enter your login information
Method 3 of 3: Sign Out of Account on the Dropbox.com Site
Step 1. Visit https://www.dropbox.com via a web browser
You can see the content or files stored in your Dropbox account on the screen.
Step 2. Click the profile photo
It's in the top-right corner of the page. A drop-down menu will appear after that.
Step 3. Click Sign out
You are now signed out of your Dropbox account.
