This wikiHow teaches you how to log out of your Google account on your Android tablet or smartphone. You really shouldn't sign out of your main Google account if you want to continue using your Android device. However, you can still delete another Google account that is on your device so you don't receive notifications and messages from that account again. You can sign out of your primary Google account by resetting your device to factory settings (factory reset) or using Find My Device.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Using Settings
Step 1. Open Settings on Android device
Swipe down from the top of the device screen, then tap the icon Settings
in the drop-down menu that appears.
- You may have to use two fingers to swipe down on the screen.
- You can also tap the Settings icon (usually a gear) in Android's App Drawer.
- On Android devices there must be at least one account logged in. If you don't have another account, create another one so you can use this method.
Step 2. Scroll down the screen, then tap Users & accounts
This option is in the middle of the Settings page.
Step 3. Select the desired account
Tap the account you want to remove from your Android device.
