This wikiHow teaches you how to remove your Google account from your device so you can sign out of the Google Drive app. Account deletion will also log you out of all other Google apps installed on the device

Step 1. Open Google Drive on Android device
The Drive icon looks like a colorful triangle with green, yellow, and blue sides. Drive will display a list of files and folders once opened.
Step 2. Touch the three horizontal lines icon
It's in the upper-left corner of the "My Drive" page. The navigation pane will open on the left side of the screen.
If Drive immediately displays the contents of the folder, touch the back button to access the “My Drive” page
Step 3. Touch your email address on the left pane
Find your full name and email address at the top of the left navigation pane, then tap it. The navigation menu will be changed to account options.
Step 4. Touch Manage accounts
It's next to the gray gear icon in the menu. Account settings will open in a new page.
On older versions of Android, the “Sync” menu will open in a pop-up window once the icon is touched, instead of the settings menu on a new page
Step 5. Touch Google on the settings menu
A list of all the apps and services linked to the Google account will be displayed.
On some versions of Android, your email address appears next to the Google logo in the “Sync” menu. In this situation, touch your email address in the menu
Step 6. Touch and uncheck the Drive box
Syncing between the Google account and the Drive app on the device will be stopped. Files uploaded to Drive from other devices will no longer appear on the current Android device.
Step 7. Touch the three vertical dots icon
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen. A drop-down menu will open afterwards.
Step 8. Touch Remove account
This option will remove the Google account from the device. Syncing for all Google apps and services on the device or tablet will be stopped. You need to confirm your selection in the pop-up window.
Deleting your account will sign out of all Google apps on your device, including Chrome, Gmail, and Sheets. If you don't want to quit all apps, simply turn off sync for the Drive app, without removing the account from the app
Step 9. Touch Remove account to confirm
The Google account will be removed from the device. You'll automatically sign out of Drive, as well as any other Google apps stored on your phone or tablet.
