You can check your Firefox version to see if it's time for you to update it, or you can do this to work around the problem the program is having. If you are connected to the internet, Firefox will update automatically when you check the version.

Method 1 of 2: Checking Firefox Version on Mobile Device
Step 1. Open the Firefox menu
Open Firefox, then tap the menu button. On most devices, the menu button is displayed as three horizontal lines.
Step 2. Tap the Help icon
The icon is displayed in the form of a question mark inside a circle. It's usually in the lower-right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Select About Firefox
Select that option from the list that appears when you tap Help.
This way, the download of the latest version of Firefox will be done automatically. To prevent this from happening, you can set the device to Airplane mode
Step 4. Check the Firefox version number
The Firefox version number is below the word Firefox.
Method 2 of 2: Checking Firefox Version on Computer
Step 1. Open Firefox
Step 2. Show menu bar (menu bar)
The menu bar at the top may be visible from the start, with the File and Edit menus in it. On some versions of Windows and Linux, you must press alt=""Image" or F10 for the menu bar to appear.
Alternatively, right-click on the top of the Firefox window and check "Menu Bar"
Step 3. Visit the About page
Click Firefox on the menu bar, then select About Mozilla Firefox. In some cases, the About page is below the Help button.
By opening the page, Firefox will be updated automatically. To avoid this, turn off the internet connection before clicking the menu option
Step 4. Look at the version number under the word Firefox
You should see a window appear with the word Firefox at the top. Look at the version number displayed in bold just below the word.
Step 5. Update Firefox automatically
If you are using the latest version of Firefox, you will see the phrase Firefox is up to date. Otherwise, Firefox will start downloading the last update automatically. Check the progress of the download process in the same About window, just below the version number. Once the download is complete, it will update Firefox the next time you open it.
Step 6. Use another method
If the About menu doesn't work for some reason, try some of the methods below:
- Type about:support in the address bar, then press enter. You should see a page titled Troubleshooting Information, which will display the Firefox version number under Application Basics. Use about: to see a shorter page.
- (Windows only) Right-click the Firefox icon on the desktop. Open Properties, then go to the Shortcut tab, and click Open File Location. Right click on firefox.exe, then open Properties again, and go to the Details tab. Look at the Firefox version number in the menu.
Tips
- In Windows 7, you can open the Firefox menu with a keyboard shortcut. Try pressing Alt+H, then Alt+A.
- If all the methods above did not help you, open the Command Line and type
firefox -version or firefox -v.
