This wikiHow teaches you how to add the official YouTube channel to your Roku homepage. You can usually find YouTube in the "Top Free" section of the Roku channel store or by searching for it by name. After adding a channel, you can open it at any time from the home screen.

Step 1. Open Roku on the television
Turn on the television and open the Roku interface using the television controller.
- Roku is usually connected to one of the HDMI display inputs. You can use the main TV controller to change the display or input.
- After changing the television input, you will arrive at the Roku home screen.
Step 2. Select Streaming Channels on the Roku menu
You can find the Roku navigation menu on the left side of the home screen. Use the Roku controller to move the finish to the main menu and select “ OK ” on that option.
- The Roku Store channel will open.
- If the menu is not displayed, press the left button on the Roku controller on the home screen. The menu will be displayed on the left side of the screen.
Step 3. Select the Top Free option on the Channel Store menu
A list of the most popular free apps and channels will be displayed.
- YouTube is usually one of the top results in this category.
- Alternatively, you can select the option “ Search Channels ” and search for "YouTube".
- There is a separate "YouTube TV" channel in the Channel Store. If you have a paid subscription to YouTube's premium service (wireless live TV from YouTube), you can also search for and add those channels to watch live shows.
Step 4. Select the channel "YouTube" in the Channel Store
Use the arrow buttons on the Roku controller to select “YouTube” in the search results, then press the “ OK ” to open channel details.
Step 5. Select Add channel on the channel details page
Mark the button Add channel ” on the YouTube details page, and press the “button OK ” to add a channel to the home screen.
Step 6. Select Go to channel on the details page
After the channel is added, you can see this option on the details page. Select the button with the Roku controller to open YouTube via Roku TV.
Alternatively, you can select and open a YouTube channel at any time from the Roku home screen
Step 7. Select the YouTube video you want to watch
Use the Roku controller to select a video from YouTube, and press the “ OK ” to play and watch it on television.
