This wikiHow teaches you how to delete cookies on both computer and mobile browsers. You can follow these steps on Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Internet Explorer.

Method 1 of 8: Chrome (Desktop Version)
Step 1. Open Google Chrome
The browser is marked by a red, yellow, green, and blue circle icon.
Step 2. Click
It's in the upper-right corner of the Chrome browser window.
Step 3. Click Settings
It's at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
Step 4. Scroll down and click on Advanced
This link is at the bottom of the page.
Step 5. Click Clear browsing data
This is the last option in the "Privacy & security" section.
Step 6. Make sure the "Cookies and other site and plugin data" box is checked
You can uncheck the other boxes on this page if you wish, but the " Cookies and other site and plugin data " box should still be checked.
Step 7. Make sure the beginning of time is selected
In the box at the top of the window, you'll see a box with a timeframe option (eg " the past hour "). If this box doesn't show the " the beginning of time " option, click the box and select that option.
Step 8. Click CLEAR BROWSING DATA
It's in the lower-right corner of the window. After that, all cookies on the browser will be deleted.
Method 2 of 8: Safari (Desktop Version)
Step 1. Open Safari
This browser is indicated by the blue compass icon that appears in the Mac's Dock.
Step 2. Click Safari
This menu is at the far left of the Mac's menu bar.
Step 3. Click Clear History
It's at the top of the drop-down menu. Once clicked, a pop-up menu will appear.
Step 4. Choose a timeframe
To select it, click the box next to the "Clear:" option in the middle of the pop-up window, then select a time range (eg. all history ” or all history).
Step 5. Click Clear History
After that, all cookies, search history, and website data will be deleted from Safari.
Method 3 of 8: Microsoft Edge (Desktop Computer)
Step 1. Open Microsoft Edge

Step 3. Click Settings
It's at the bottom of the pop-out menu.
Step 4. Click Choose what to clear
This option is under the “Clear browsing data” heading, about the bottom half of the “Settings” menu.
Step 5. Make sure the "Cookies and saved website data" box is checked
This is an option that can clear cookies from the Edge browser. You can uncheck other boxes in this menu if you wish.
Step 6. Click Clear
This button is below the various types of data displayed. After that, the cookie will be deleted from the browser.
Method 4 of 8: Internet Explorer (Desktop Computer)
Step 1. Open Internet Explorer
This browser is marked by a light blue letter “e” icon.
Step 2. Click ️
It's in the upper-right corner of the Internet Explorer window. After that, a drop-down menu will be displayed.
Step 3. Click Internet options
It's at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
Step 4. Click Delete…
This option is under the " Browsing history " heading, in the middle of the " Internet Options " window.
Step 5. Make sure the "Cookies and website data" box is checked
You can uncheck other boxes on this page. However, the "Cookies and website data" box must be checked in order for cookies to be removed from the browser.
Step 6. Click Delete
It's at the bottom of the window. After that, the cookies will be deleted from Internet Explorer.
Step 7. Click OK to exit the “Internet Options” window
Now, your browser's cookies have been cleared successfully.
Method 5 of 8: Firefox (Desktop Version)
Step 1. Open Firefox
The Firefox icon looks like a blue globe surrounded by orange foxes.
Step 2. Click
It's in the upper-right corner of the Firefox browser window.
Step 3. Click Options
This button is marked with a gear icon above it.
On a Mac computer, click “ Preferences ”.
Step 4. Click the Privacy tab
This tab is on the left side of the page (PC) or at the top of the window (Mac).
Step 5. Click remove individual cookies
This link is under the " History " heading, in the middle of the page.
If you use modified settings for Firefox's browsing history, you won't be able to see the “ remove individual cookies " In this situation, click the button “ Show Cookies ” on the right side of the page.
Step 6. Click Remove All
It's at the bottom of the “Cookies” window. After that, the cookies will be automatically deleted from Firefox.
Method 6 of 8: Chrome (Mobile Version)
Step 1. Open Google Chrome
This browser is marked by the Google Chrome icon on a white background.
Step 2. Touch
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Touch Settings
It's at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
Step 4. Touch Privacy
It's in the "Advanced" section at the bottom of the page.
Step 5. Touch Clear Browsing Data
This is the last option on the page.
Step 6. Make sure the Cookies, Site Data option is checked
You can uncheck the other options on the “Clear Browsing Data” page if you want. However, this option must be checked in order for cookies to be removed from the browser.
Step 7. Touch Clear Browsing Data (iPhone) or Clear Data (Android).
This option is at the bottom of the search area. On Android devices, touch the option to delete browser cookies immediately.
Step 8. Touch Clear Browsing Data when prompted (iPhone only)
If you're using an iPhone, this last step is the confirmation step. After that, the cookies will be deleted from the mobile Chrome browser.
Method 7 of 8: Safari (Mobile Version)
Step 1. Open the iPhone settings menu (“Settings”)
This menu is indicated by the gray gear icon which is usually displayed on the home screen.
You can also follow this process on an iPad or iPod Touch
Step 2. Swipe the screen and touch Safari
This option is in the lower third of the “Settings” page.
Step 3. Scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data
This option is at the bottom of the page.
Step 4. Touch Clear History and Data when prompted
It's at the bottom of the screen. After that, cookies and other web data will be deleted from the Safari browser.
This option will also clear your browser's search history. If you only want to delete cookies, touch the “ Advanced ” at the bottom of the page, select “ Data Website ", touch " Remove All Website Data, and select " Remove Now ”.
Method 8 of 8: Firefox (Mobile Version)
Step 1. Open Firefox
The browser is marked by a blue globe icon surrounded by an orange fox.
Step 2. Touch (iPhone) or (Android).
It's in the bottom-center of the screen (iPhone) or the top-right corner of the screen (Android).
Step 3. Touch Settings
It's on the right side of the pop-up menu.
Step 4. Scroll down and tap on Clear Private Data
This option is in the "Privacy" setting group.
Step 5. Make sure the toggle next to " Cookies " (iPhone) is toggled to the on position (" On ") or the box next to " cookies and active logins " is checked (Android)
If not, tap the switch or check the box so that cookies are deleted as well when you clear personal data from your browser.
You can disable every other type of data on this page if you only want to delete cookies
Step 6. Touch Clear Private Data (iPhone) or Clear Data (Android).
This option is at the bottom of the screen. On Android devices, touch the option to immediately delete cookies and other website data on the device.
Step 7. Touch OK when prompted (iPhone only)
If you are using an iPhone, this last step will delete all cookies from Firefox.
