Method 1 of 3: Enabling Dark Display Mode Permanently
Step 1. Open the settings menu (“Settings”)
This menu is indicated by a gear icon on a gray background.
Step 2. Select Display and Brightness
This option is indicated by a two-letter “A” icon.
Step 3. Select Dark
All apps that support dark mode will instantly appear in the dark color theme.
Some apps don't support dark display mode. For apps like this, you may be able to find dark mode in the app's settings menu. Select "Use system theme" or "Dark" in the application settings
Method 2 of 3: Scheduling Dark View Mode
Step 1. Open the settings menu (“Settings”)
This menu is indicated by a gear icon on a gray background.
Step 2. Select Display and Brightness
This option is indicated by a two letter “A” icon.
Step 3. Slide the "Automatic" switch to the on position
Dark display mode will be scheduled and activated after sunset, and turned off at sunrise.
Changing Schedule On/Off Mode
Step 1. Select Options to change the schedule or time on/off mode
Step 2. Touch Custom schedule
With this option, you can customize the dark display mode on/off schedule yourself.
Step 3. Touch the desired time to change the schedule
After touching the time, select a new schedule to turn dark display mode on and off.
Method 3 of 3: Adding a Dark View Mode Icon to the Control Center
Step 1. Open the settings menu (“Settings”)
This menu is indicated by a gear icon on a gray background.
Step 2. Select Control Center
The icon looks like two switches.
Step 3. Touch the + button next to the “Dark mode” option
A dark display mode hotkey will be added to the Control Center window.
