If you want to restart your Nintendogs game from scratch, plan to sell the game, or buy a used game and it already has old games stored on it, there is a simple solution to deleting the game. However, if you are using an r4 chip, you will need a computer to wipe the data.

Method 1 of 2: Removing Nintendogs Using a Key Combination
Step 1. Enter Nintendogs game into DS console
Turn on the DS and click on the Nintendogs game above(if your DS is set to auto mode, skip this step).
Step 2. Hold down the L, R, A, B, Y, X keys when the white screen that says Nintendo appears
If the game loads before you press the button, this method won't work.
The buttons must be pressed simultaneously to reset the game. Try using the finger side if you're having trouble
Step 3. Select "Yes" when asked if you want to delete the current Nintendogs game
Remember, once the game is deleted, you will lose your dog, trainer points and money there. Deleted data cannot be recovered. Make sure that all data in the game is allowed to be deleted.
- Click "Yes" and the game will be deleted. Now you can start a new game, as if it just came out of the box.
- If you change your mind, just click " No " and you can continue playing the game.
Method 2 of 2: Removing Nintendogs with an R4 Kartu Card
Step 1. Remove the Micro SD card from the R4 card
The Micro SD is a small card that is inserted through the top left corner of the R4 card.
Step 2. Insert the Micro SD card into the Micro SD card reader
This card reader is like a regular USB device that plugs into a computer, except that it has one or more Micro SD card ports. Sometimes this reader is included with the R4 card.
Step 3. Insert the Micro SD card reader into the USB port on the computer
A pop up window will appear showing various options; select "Open folder" (open the folder). From here, open the " Games " folder and locate the Nintendogs file with the extension “sav.”.
Step 4. Slide the sav file
to the trash to delete the game. All in-game data will be lost: dogs, money, trainer points and all purchased items. Make sure you really want to delete it before deleting the file!
Step 5. Remove the USB device and reinsert the Micro SD card into the R4 card
Return the R4 card to the DS console and open Nintendogs. Game save data will be lost and you can start over!
