Have you ever noticed that some of someone's pokemen have a stat or two that are very high but lower than average in other areas? This may be because the person is training their Pokemon's EV. If you want that too, read the instructions below.
Step
Method 1 of 4: Breeding Your Pokemon
Step 1. Start this EV workout from birth
EV training starts from birth, if you want to control your pokemon's EV perfectly, you have to start from birth, since their EV is still empty. Breed Pokemon to get eggs of the species you want and train to be the best!
Step 2. Use pokemon with good stats to get pokemon with good stats
Since a pokemon's initial status is determined by its parents, you must use a good pokemon to breed pokemon. Make sure you know how to breed pokemon.
Step 3. Check your pokemon IVs
When you've got a new pokemon born, check the IVs with the command "/iv". This must be typed in the talk box (without the quotes), then you will be notified of your pokemon IVs. Stop when you've found a pokemon with good stats.
Method 2 of 4: Train EV Match
Step 1. Choose your fight carefully
Every time your pokemon competes, even if it's only one round, he will get EV Points from that match. Therefore, you have to be careful in using these pokemon until they maximize their EV. Only spawn this pokemon in profitable battles.
Each type of pokemon will give your pokemon different EV Points. Know which pokemon give you what EV Points and only compete with those who have the EV Points you want
Step 2. Swap your pokemon if necessary
At the beginning of EV training, your pokemon will not be able to beat other pokemon to get EV Points. There are several ways to get EXP, the first way is to use EXP. Share. Another way is to only use your pokemon id one round then swap it for a more powerful pokemon.
Step 3. Fight with the correct pokemon
Some pokemon will only give 1 EV Points whereas other pokemon give more! If you want to train your Pokemon's EV faster, fight with Pokemon that give you more EV Points.
- For example, fighting Nidoqueen will give you 3 EV Points in HP, whereas fighting Machamp will give you 3 EV Points in Attack.
- Always remember, however, that Pokemon that give high EV Points will be harder to find.
Method 3 of 4: Improving Exercise Efficiency
Step 1. Use vitamins
Vitamins will give 10 EV Points to your pokemon. You can give up to 10 vitamins, which means it's a quick way to earn 100 EV Points (out of the 510 EV Points limit). Vitamins are only priced at $9,800 per fruit.
You can buy vitamins at Shopping Mall 9 in Black and White
Step 2. Use Items
There are many items that you can use in your pokemon to get EV Points faster. The best item is the Macho Brace, where it will multiply the EV Points you get but reduce the speed of your pokemon. Other items, such as Power Weights or Power Belts, only double one stat but still reduce speed.
Step 3. Try a Pokerus contract
Pokerus is a pokemon virus. Although rare, Pokerus is a disease that Pokemon Center cannot cure. While it's possible to compete with Pokemon with Pokerus, you're still more likely to get them by swapping. This virus will multiply the EV Points you earn and work with other items that increase the income of EVs. However, your pokemon will only have it for a certain period of time, usually only a day after being hit by Pokerus.
- Find Pokemon that have Pokerus by checking their status effects. You will also be notified by the nurse at the Pokemon Center if a pokemon is infected with pokerus..
- Remember that this virus is very rare and you may never encounter it.
Step 4. Find and use Wings
Wings are rare items that can sometimes be found in Marvelous Bridge and Driftveil Drawbridge. This will increase the status by 1 EV Points. While these give less points than vitamins, they have no limit so you can use as much as you want.
One of the drawbacks of Wings is that it is very rare and takes time to find
Step 5. Use the items from Join Avenue
Join Avenue will have many items sold to increase EVs. Try items in the Dojo or Café to increase your EVs by 48 points. Be careful, however, this is very expensive. For example, a Secret Dish A that increases EVs HP by 48 points will be priced at $72000!
Step 6. Use Rare Candy to level up pokemon
Since your pokemon will face many matches, you will have to find other ways to increase its level. The best way is to use Rare Candy. This will increase your pokemon one level. It costs only $4800 and can be found in many places.
Method 4 of 4: Redoing your EVs
Step 1. Be careful with repeating EVs
Each pokemon can only have 510 EV Points. Only 252 of that total can exist in a single state. You might want to redo your EVs, for example. If you accidentally use your pokemon in a match or if you decide to EV train a pokemon after you've had it for a while where he's seen little combat. However, you should avoid items that will lower your EV if you don't want the stat to be lowered.
Step 2. Use Berries
If you play Black or White, you can use Berries to reduce your EVs. They are like the opposite of vitamins, where they reduce 10 EV Points. After all, in Black and White, Berries are only found and grown in the Dream World.
Step 3. Use the items from Join Avenue
Join Avenue has many items available for purchase that can reduce your EVs. One of the best items for it is Beauty Salon.
Tips
- It is highly recommended that you do this immediately after you catch a pokemon. Whenever your pokemon beats another pokemon, it will get EVs.
- In Diamond and Pearl, there are 6 items (one item for each status) that can be obtained in the Battle Tower and will increase your total EVs by 4. These are called Power Items. Power Anklet increases speed, Band increases Sp. Defense, Belt increases Defense, Bracer increases Attack, Lens increases Sp. Attack, and Weight increases HP.
- There is a rare condition that your pokemon will experience when fighting a wild pokemon, namely Pokerus. This is very hard to find, although some people will want to trade it on the forums. The purpose of this condition is to multiply the number of EV Points your pokemon gets after fighting. So if Pikachu beats 4 Ralts and has Pokerus, he will get (1*4)*2=8 EVs and 2 stat points.
- Another EV boost is the Macho Brace. This item, like pokerus, will increase the amount of EV you can get, but will reduce the speed of your pokemon in battle.
- Try to increase the EV of Pokemon's best stats. If you play competitively, each pokemon will have a role and you have to make the stats that you will use the highest. For example, if a pokemon already has a high Attack stat, it would be a good idea to train their Attack stat.
- The way you spread EV between states is called EV Spread. Many people use 252, 252, and 4 because they are easy to divide by four.
- You can only have a maximum of 255 EVs Points in any status and a total of 510 EVs Points from all statuses.
- If your pokemon is at a low level, you won't see the effect of your EV training directly because EVs are distributed by level. Don't worry, because you will see it as your pokemon level increases.
Warning
- If your EV is over 100 and out of control, use EV-lowering Berries - Hondew, Grepa, Pomeg, Tamato, Qualot and Kelpsy - which will lower your EV to 100. This can only be used in Pokemon Emerald.
- Consider the nature of your pokemon before starting EV training. Spending EV on stats to be lowered due to the nature of your pokemon would be a waste of time!
- If you're lucky enough to get hold of Pokerus, you need to know that after about 24 hours, the infected pokemon can't transmit the virus again and can never catch it again. This will be seen from the small smiling face at the bottom right of your pokemon image. They can still multiply EVs. On PC, pokerus will stay forever.
- Watch your EVs or you'll have to start over again! In Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, use the Counter App. In other games (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black, White, Black 2, White 2, X, and Y) it's pretty easy to write them down on paper. The only sure way to find out about EVs in Rubby and Sapphire is to talk to the Effort Ribbon woman in Slateport City – she will give your pokemon a ribbon if it already has 510 EVs.
- If the pokemon is at level 100, he will not receive EVs, even if he hasn't earned 510 EV Points. However, Join Avenue can still fix that.
