Freight forwarding services, including heavy goods, and FedEx offices are managed by online accounts and automated call centers. If you need to talk to a FedEx representative about shipping, you can call or email customer service. You can also make a claim via the internet or by mail.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Calling FedEx
Step 1. Find the right FedEx phone number
FedEx has many numbers, depending on the customer's needs, although they all fall under one main customer support number. These numbers can be found on the FedEx website, including those that fit your needs.
- The primary customer service number for FedEx Indonesia is 1500342, while the customer service number for FedEx United States and international offices is 1-800-Go-FedEx or 1-800-463-3339. If you live in the United States, you can also use this number for commercial printing account-related issues, as well as to find a printing center in your city. The main telephone number is for general customer assistance in the United States, but for international customers, the number is 1-800-247-4747. If you need TDD (Telephone Device for the Deaf) service, call 1-800-238-4461
- If you want to contact the FedEx corporate office in the United States, dial 800, or 1-469-980-3000.
- If you need a toll-free domestic United States number, find your country on this page: https://www.fedex.com/us/customersupport/call/. Click your region to get your country number.
Step 2. Dial the phone number
If you call the FedEx primary number, you will be provided with number options by an automated message. To make a choice, you need a phone with a touch screen. Luckily, most phones now have touchscreens so you don't have to worry.
However, if you don't have a touchscreen phone, FedEx now has a voice option, which means you just say what you need and the automated system will direct you
Step 3. Find the desired option
An automated message will give you a list of options. For example, press “1” to select “Scheduled Pick-up”, or press “2” to select “Track Shipments”. Select "3" to find a FedEx branch in your area, while "4" allows you to order, and "5" for shipping costs.
- If you want to make a claim, press "61"; dial "62" for billing, and "63" for technical assistance.
- If you want to see all the options before calling, go to this URL:
Step 4. Speak directly to a FedEx representative
If you don't want to go through all of the options above, simply skip them all to speak directly to a FedEx representative who will guide you. To speak directly to a representative, press "0" as soon as your call is answered.
Method 2 of 3: Contacting FedEx Via Email
Step 1. Email FedEx
Open the email contact form on the FedEx site. FedEx doesn't have a single email as customer service. You will need to fill out a contact form to email FedEx. This contact form is located at:
Step 2. Select the subject of your message
For example, you can select the label “Shipping/Tracking”, “Billing/Invoicing”, “Customer Service”, “Concerns”, “Products and Services”, “Websites/Automation Tools”, “FedEx Employees”, “Sales/Marketing ", or "Staff". If none of the options match your needs, select "Other".
You will also need to select a question type, for example, Comments/Suggestions, Questions, Compliments, Service Feedback, or Promotions to FedEx
Step 3. Complete your information
You will need to enter basic information, such as your name and address. The form also asks for your email address. Although not required, all of this information will help FedEx solve your problem.
If you want to inquire about a specific shipment, FedEx will ask for shipping information, such as the sender's name, tracking number, delivery date, and recipient's name
Step 4. Fill in your comments
Finally, fill in the comments field on the page. Basically, you need to tell us why you're contacting FedEx by email. Be sure to include the desired type of response to your comment.
Method 3 of 3: Making a Claim
Step 1. Choose how to submit a claim
Claims submitted to FedEx can be made online; first you need to fill out the form which can be downloaded at https://www.fedex.com/content/dam/fedex/apac-asia-pacific/downloads/fedex-claimform-en-id.pdf. You can also fill out a form and send it by fax or email. If you apply online and are logged in, FedEx will automatically fill in some of the information regarding your shipment.
Step 2. Fill in your information
You will need to fill in information such as company name, person's name, home address, and email address to the sender and recipient. You will also need to fill in the claimed delivery receipt number.
Step 3. Fill in the package information
Next, you need to fill in the reason for submitting the claim. For example, you can file a claim for a lost package. You can also file a claim if the package was damaged during shipping, which also damaged its contents.
- If you choose "damaged goods," you'll need to keep the package with the packaging so FedEx can inspect it, should they decide so.
- You will also need to explain the damage the package has suffered.
Step 4. Submit the form
If you're making a claim online, simply deposit the form for submission. If you fill out a claim form, simply fax it or send it to the FedEx Indonesia head office address. You can also send it via email.
