This wikiHow teaches you how to contact YouTube to report common issues such as content issues, bullying, security breaches, and copyright claims. While you can try to have a dialogue with YouTube via social media, or through the Creators Help Team if you're a legitimate partner, the reality is that there's no reliable way to contact YouTube and get a response. Keep in mind that YouTube doesn't have an email address or phone number where you can contact them directly, and if you call the YouTube user service number, you'll be prompted by automated voicemail to use the YouTube Help Center (which is a good idea from the start).
Step
Method 1 of 7: Using Social Media
Step 1. Understand that you usually won't be able to chat with YouTube
YouTube tries to stay active on social media, but rarely responds to comments on posts or direct messages.
If you are lucky enough to get a response from a YouTube employee, you will still not receive a personnel reply beyond confirmation that your issue is being worked on, or instructions for using the YouTube Help Center
Step 2. Tweet on Twitter YouTube
One of the most promising ways to contact YouTube is through Twitter, where you can post comments directly on the page:
-
Go to Twitter by going to https://www.twitter.com (desktop) or tapping the Twitter app icon (mobile) and logging in.
First of all, you need to create a Twitter account, if you don't already have one
- Click Tweet or tap the "Tweet" icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Type in @YouTube, then type your message.
- Click or tap Tweet.
Step 3. Leave a comment on Facebook YouTube
Like most large companies, YouTube has a Facebook page where they post the latest news; however, it is unlikely that you will get a response from YouTube due to the sheer amount of content on its posts. Here's how to leave a comment on the YouTube Facebook page:
- Go to through your computer's web browser.
- Log into your Facebook account, if prompted.
- Find the post you want to comment on, then click Comment underneath.
- Type a comment, then press Enter.
Step 4. Leave a message on the YouTube Instagram post
Unlike the Facebook page, posts on YouTube's Instagram page contain a variety of content that apparently doesn't get much commentary:
- Go to https://www.instagram.com/youtube in a computer browser.
- Log into Instagram if prompted.
- Find the post you want to comment on.
- Click the chat bubble icon below the post.
- Type a comment, then press Enter.
Method 2 of 7: Contacting the Creators Help Team
Step 1. Understand that you must meet the requirements to be able to use this method
YouTube is still unclear about the steps you need to take to allow you to email the Creators Help Team, but you must be a legal partner and have your videos cumulatively viewed at least 10,000 times.
Some creators who meet these criteria have not been able to email YouTube because they have just crossed 10,000 views
Step 2. Make sure you are using a computer
You can't access the Creators Help Team via a mobile phone or tablet.
Step 3. Open YouTube
Go to https://www.youtube.com/, click SIGN IN in the top right corner, then log in to your YouTube account if it wasn't automatically entered.
Step 4. Click the profile icon
It's in the upper-right corner. Once done, a drop down menu will open.
Step 5. Click Help
It's near the bottom of the drop-down menu.
Step 6. Click Need more help?
It's at the top of the menu. If so, a new drop down menu will appear.
Step 7. Select a category

Step 8. Click Email Support
This option can read Get Creator resources. When you do, you will see a list of several topics.
Again, if you are not authorized to use this method to contact YouTube, link Support Email will not be visible.
Step 9. Email the Creators Help Team
Once you've confirmed that you have access to the Creators Help Team, follow these steps:
- Choose the category that fits your problem.
-
Click the link contact the Creator Support team.
If you don't see this link, go back and click another category
- Enter your first name, last name, email address and channel URL in their respective boxes.

- Check "Yes" or "No" under the "Is your issue about specific video?" text, then follow some additional instructions.
