You like "vanilla cappuccino" made by "Starbucks" but are reluctant to buy it because the price is too draining the pocket? Don't worry, now you can make "vanilla cappuccino" with a similar taste at home. Hot or cold versions, both are equally delicious. Interested in trying it?
Ingredients
"Blend Vanilla Cappuccino" (cold)
- 8 ounces of espresso powder or strong coffee
- 150 ml liquid milk
- 5 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Ice
- Whipped cream
"Hot Vanilla Cappuccino" (hot)
- 8 ounces of espresso powder or strong coffee
- 150 ml liquid milk
- 5 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Whipped cream
Step
Method 1 of 2: Making a "Blend Vanilla Cappuccino" (cold)
Step 1. Brew coffee grounds or espresso
In this recipe, the coffee will be mixed with the other ingredients, so make sure that you use strong coffee grounds to balance the flavors out. Choose coffee that tastes too sharp to drink without any mixture. This type of coffee will still leave a sharp taste trail even when mixed with other ingredients.
Step 2. Store the brew in the refrigerator until it cools completely
Make sure that the coffee has cooled before continuing with the process, so that your blended ice isn't too runny.
Step 3. Pour the prepared ingredients into a blender
Pour cold coffee, liquid milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract into a blender. Set aside the whipped cream to use as a garnish before serving the coffee.
- If you want a thick coffee texture, equalize the amount of liquid milk and sweetened condensed milk used. For example, for 150 ml (2/3 cup) of liquid milk, add 10 tablespoons (2/3 cup) of sweetened condensed milk.
- If you don't have sweetened condensed milk, you can replace it with warm liquid milk topped with 1-2 tablespoons of sugar. Stir well until the sugar dissolves, then let it cool before using it.
- If you want to get creative with the taste, add 62 ml of chocolate syrup to the blender. Voila, be a "Mocha Blended Cappuccino"!
Step 4. Put the ice cubes in the blender
After pouring all the ingredients, fill the blender with ice cubes. Remember, you're making blended ice, not regular iced coffee. Therefore, use enough ice cubes so that the texture is maintained.
Step 5. Turn on the blender, then wait until all the ingredients are well mixed and the ice cubes are crushed
The time it takes will depend on the type and power of the blender you are using. If the ice is difficult to crush, first turn off the blender, then mix the solution in it thoroughly (as much as possible place the uncrushed ice cubes near the blades of the blender) and turn the blender back on. Repeat this process until you reach the desired thickness.
Step 6. Pour into a glass
You can enjoy it alone or share its deliciousness with those closest to you.
Step 7. Garnish with whipped cream
To make the taste and appearance of your coffee even more appetizing, garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle with a little chocolate chips just before serving.
Method 2 of 2: Making a "Hot Vanilla Cappuccino" (hot)
Step 2. Heat the milk and sweetened condensed milk
Pour the milk and condensed milk into a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Keep stirring the milk mixture until steam appears. Be careful not to heat it to a boil. If steam appears, immediately turn off the heat.
- If you want coffee with a strong milky taste, equalize the amount of liquid milk and sweetened condensed milk used. For example, for 150 ml (2/3 cup) of liquid milk, add 10 tablespoons (2/3 cup) of sweetened condensed milk.
- If you don't have sweetened condensed milk, you can replace it with warm liquid milk with 1-2 tablespoons of sugar added.
- If you want to get creative with the taste, add 62 ml of chocolate syrup to the blender. Voila, be a "Hot Mocha Cappuccino"!
Step 3. Add vanilla extract to the heated milk solution
Step 4. Pour your brewed coffee into a glass
Fill only 1/2 or 3/4 cup (depending on how strong you want the milk to taste), and leave room for the milk solution.
Step 5. Pour the hot milk solution over the coffee
Be careful not to let the very hot solution hurt your skin.
Step 6. Garnish with whipped cream
If you are making a " mocha cappuccino ", sprinkle the surface with a little bit of chocolate chips or chocolate chips.
