If you have some adult drinks that need to be kept under wraps, it might be time to get creative. Hiding alcohol in your pocket, jacket, bag, or similar, sneaking into places where alcohol is prohibited, and keeping your liquor out of prying eyes can all be done with a little clever planning. If you're hiding alcohol because you have problems with hangovers or other side effects of alcohol, you need to seek help. See step one for more information.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Hiding Alcohol in Your Own Body
Step 1. Go back to classic style with a hip flask
The easiest way to make a little liquor easy to carry and store in your pocket, purse, or purse is to transfer it to a hip flask. These bottles usually hold about 240 ml of liquid, are available in stainless steel and other materials, and are relatively inexpensive to purchase. Usually these bottles are made to fit comfortably in a men's coat jacket pocket.
To clean the hip flask, rinse it with hot water and leave it open on the counter overnight to dry. Never put soap in a hip flask, as the soap will be very difficult to rinse thoroughly, and you may leave soap residue on your next drink
Step 2. Hide in beer paper bags and beer bottles
If you want to sit in the garden and enjoy an adult drink, ask for a paper bag at the liquor store. In most places, drinking in public is illegal, but wrapping a drink in a paper bag is usually enough to avoid the risk of being intercepted by the police. This means that - even though it is clear what is in it - most police departments choose to ignore it and focus on other matters as departmental policy. Research open drinking laws in your city to be sure.
Please note that this method involves negotiating territory whose laws are still unclear. In America, it's technically illegal to drink alcoholic beverages in public, and many small-town cops may take pleasure in seeking opportunities to check if you appear drunk or disorderly. If you want to wrap a drink in a paper bag, you have to be prepared for the risks involved
Step 3. Store canned beer in a drink case (cozy)
Cozy new beer can help keep beer cans cold, and also make them look like soda cans. Like being wrapped in a chocolate bag, Cozy is big enough to obscure the brand label on the can to keep people from paying attention if you want to sip a few cans of cold drinks without the hassle.
Make cozy soda cans to store beer. If you don't have a cozy, cut off the top or so of a soda can, put some beer in it, and see how it turns out. You'll look like you're drinking Dr. Peppers
Step 4. Hide your alcohol in another bottle
One of the best ways to mask the presence of alcohol and hide it from the naked eye is to pour it into an inconspicuous bottle and then carry it around as if it were water, soda, or some other beverage. No one needs to be wiser. A thermos bottle, or any other water bottle is perfect for hiding liquor.
- Put vodka, gin, or other clear drink in a water bottle. Make sure the bottle is closed at all times when you are not drinking it to avoid the strong smell that attracts attention.
- Hide the wine in a thermos bottle, in a fruit drink bottle, or a vitamin drink bottle. This colored liquid should look similar in color and texture to grapes, so that it can pass the initial eye test.
Step 5. Put the alcohol in a portable drinking bottle (usually CamelBak is used more often abroad)
The CamelBak is a backpack designed for hiking and hauling water, to hide liquor. It can be an excellent choice for moving any type of liquor. These usually have long rubber straws attached to the shoulder straps; which you can use for drinking.
Step 6. Consider a wine rack
Same with Camelbak, wine rack is also stored under clothes. In the shape of a regular sports bra that has 600ml of space to hide fluids, and a hanging straw, the wine rack is perfect if you don't mind drinking hot liquor from your own skin. This item is usually sold in places such as supermarkets and other unique goods stores.
Step 7. Hide the liquor in the food bag
A bottle of Jack Daniels will attract attention if you are in public, but a pack of treats will usually not attract attention. If you're in a place with a fridge and some useful food, use an empty bag of potato chips, or some other snack option, to cover the bottle. Wrap it over the bottle upside down, then cut a small hole in the bottom of the bag for the neck to fit. No one will be suspicious when people pass by your picnic spot.
Step 8. Mix your previous drink
One of the best ways to hide alcohol in plain sight is to mix drinks like rum with coca-cola, or whiskey with ginger. But mix in the bottle or soda can you use as a mixer. The color will be basically the same, the smell won't be too strong, and you can take this soda almost anywhere.
This only works well with coke dispensers. If you get Big Gulp, mix it with soda and enjoy your mixed drink hassle-free
Method 2 of 3: Sneaking Liquor Into a Place That Bans Alcohol
Step 1. Go through the gate
If you want to sneak alcohol into an event, or to a location where alcohol is prohibited, your main goal is to get through the door. The method varies, depending on the venue itself, but there are a few tips to keep in mind to avoid getting caught before you can even drink it. Please note that sneaking alcohol into places where liquor is prohibited could get you expelled from school or in trouble with the authorities. Be prepared to accept the risks.
- To get past security guards or dorm doors, hide liquor in a backpack, packing box, or in the bottom of a large grocery bag. If you can, divide the beer into several bags, to avoid the clinking sound of beer bottles. If you're in a large group, split up and put on a somber and even face, not like you're going to a secret party.
- To get booze into the movies, pick something that won't have a strong smell, mix some liquor into a large soda bottle or carry some wine in a different kind of bottle, and tuck it in a bag. Beer cans or bottles can make a lot of noise, and also empty bottles will be caught by the way they have to be left, and the smell of liquor will instantly make those around you wrinkle their noses.
- To enter a festival or music venue and drink cheaply, it's important to know the safety beforehand. Often, bags and wallets are checked, and outside drinks are confiscated, so carrying bottles of vodka water is not allowed. However, most venues and festivals won't scrutinize people who don't carry bags, so bringing a hip flask is a good idea.
Step 2. Show a natural attitude
If you're drinking somewhere you shouldn't, rule number one is to stay calm. No loud noises, no banging of the bass in dorm rooms, no screaming while passing bottles down the aisles, and no suspicious movement of forbidden bottles being slid into concerts. Unless you want to be kicked out, you need to be natural and calm.
Ask a friend who is too drunk or too drunk to leave, and leave him. Besides being annoying, a flashy drunk will get you caught and attract attention. Make it a calm and quiet event, not a noisy party
Step 3. Use code language with your friends
If you're drinking in the basement of a friend's house or dorm room and need to keep drunken chatter to a minimum, create a coded language to use so that no roaming guards, nosy neighbors, or siblings can understand your language. Instead of a drink, say you're going to grab a button, or call beer a biohazard. It will be fun, and you will stay safe.
Step 4. Manage your trash
Sneaking booze into a place where alcohol is prohibited is fun and exciting until someone leaves a beer can where it's clearly visible. Be sure to take care of all the trash cans and dirty glasses from drinking the night before. The vodka-smelling glass will still catch you like you left an empty bottle.
If you're in a dorm, keep some black plastic trash bags around you just in case. You don't have to worry about slipping the bottle out several times at a time if you have an opaque bag to carry it out of sight
Step 5. Try drinking at odd hours
Sneaking a few beers into the movies, or throwing a beer party in your dorm room is easier if it's during the day, or on a Tuesday, against prime hours on a weeknight. Busy, full theaters are more likely to be caught, and guards may be more vigilant during party hours, ready to catch you. Be smart and do it when they least expect it.
Step 6. Come to the event early
Security guards will be on guard at the entrance only during busy times. Arriving early will help things run smoothly.
Method 3 of 3: Hiding Alcohol at Home
Step 1. Consider your options
Sometimes you may have to hide a bottle or two quickly from some judgmental people, but sometimes it may be you who need to open your eyes and look around. If you take steps to hide alcohol in your own home, this could be a sign of a serious alcohol problem. If you are struggling with alcohol dependence, stop hiding it, accept that you have a problem, and seek help as soon as possible. Hiding alcohol won't help in the long run.
Step 2. Hide the alcohol in the toilet tank
A cool, out of sight hideaway for a bottle or two of booze? Try a toilet tank. The water that comes out behind the tank is clean, meaning you don't have to worry about germs, and as long as your toilet is working properly, most people won't be able to open the tank to look inside.
You can tie the neck of the bottle to the ball joint in the toilet, to keep it from turning too much. Make sure the toilet is still working properly, or you'll be caught sooner
Step 3. Hide behind the rows of books in the bookshelf
If you have a lot of books or DVDs lined up, tuck a few bottles behind them, and pull the books to the front of the cupboard to make enough room. After all, this is good feng shui.
Step 4. Put the bottle in your shoe
Winter boots, Uggs boots, and cowboy boots are perfectly shaped to fit a liquor bottle inside. If you have a lot of shoes, you can sneak a bottle or two in them and stash them in the back of the wardrobe for storage. Just remember where you put it, so you don't accidentally clog your feet.
Step 5. Hide it under your laundry
Most house keepers are unlikely to dig into dirty clothes for contraband. If you need a nice place to tuck bottles, try the bottom of the laundry basket. As long as you do the laundry yourself, this pile is a powerful hiding place.
Step 6. Learn the habits of people who search
If you need to hide liquor at home, try and read up on the person who did the search. If a housekeeper comes knocking every Wednesday, don't bother finding a hideout, just bring the liquor out of hiding before Wednesday, and your problem is solved. If your mom cleans your room, start cleaning the room yourself so you don't have to worry about getting tensed.
Warning
- Sneaking alcohol into dorm rooms and certain places is illegal and can get you expelled from school and in trouble with the law. Always ready to take the risk.
- If you have a drinking problem, don't hide the alcohol. Get help.
