Scabies (scabies) is caused by a distinctive mite called "itch mite-itch mite" which makes nests under the skin. To deal with scabies, we have to deal with both this insect and its eggs. Scabies can be passed from skin to clothing and is thus more difficult to eradicate than a skin infection alone. These mites spread quickly from person to person through touch, clothing and the sharing of personal equipment, and can infect entire families at once. This situation is unpleasant, but it can also be cured very easily. You can rely on conclusively proven remedies. Unproven (popular, but unstudied) treatments may or may not work for you. Luckily, you have plenty of options – it all starts with Step 1
Step
Part 1 of 4: Using Tested Over-the-counter Drugs
Step 1. Try experimenting with sulfur
Add one part sulfur powder to 10 parts cream to make an effective body cream. Apply the cream to your body as mentioned above. Sulfur is toxic to scabies mites, and it can kill mites when applied topically.
Most creams contain sulfur, and sulfur is the most commonly used ingredient in itching medications to kill scabies mites. Sulfur is not suitable for everyone; so apply this sulfur to a small part of the surface of your skin as an experiment to find out whether the sulfur causes an allergic reaction or not
Step 2. Use neem oil (vegetable oil made from the fruit and seeds of neem)
Neem has been used in Ayuervedic medicine as an antiseptic for centuries because it is anti-bacterial and is a healing remedy. If you want to cure this scurvy, you should apply neem oil to all parts of your body, including between the fingers, toes, buttocks, behind the knees and even the soles of the feet.
- The cream should be left on for 8-24 hours. Reapply the cream every time you wash your hands and face. Besides being able to kill mites, the cream can also soothe the skin, relieve pain, reduce itching, reduce inflammation, and treat other infections. The research has been done for a long time, but it is still effective.
- Alternatively, take 5 fresh leaves of this plant. Pound the leaves with a hammer and mortar, then apply the mixture directly to the scabies-infected area.
-
Third, you can also take the mixture and place it on a small cheesecloth or cotton material. Place this mixture in the center like a ball, then tie it together, and squeeze the mixture in different directions to get a natural “juice” – like cider. This juice can be applied directly to your wound, or it can be consumed every morning on an empty stomach.
You can also use this mixture with your shampoo, rinse with water
Step 3. Start with Ivermectin
Your doctor may prescribe the drug Ivermectin. Ivermectin is an anti-parasitic drug that can kill mites and quickly cure scurvy. You will see your healing progress in a few days.
However, this cure is only for people who are already immune or people who can't follow harsh treatment methods
Step 4. Try using a cleansing cream (permethrin)
In most cases of scurvy, patients undergoing treatment are recommended to use a cream or cleanser containing 5% permethrin, which is an anti-parasitic. Talk to your doctor about this.
- Apply it all over your body and leave it on for 8-24 hours.
- Reapply every time you wash your hands or face.
- The whole family should also do the treatment.
Part 2 of 4: Using Untested Home Remedies
Step 1. Take cold water
Itching can be cured by using cold water. Leaving the itchy body part in cold water for less than 10 minutes will reduce your itching for approximately 2 hours so that the itching on your body and skin will disappear during this time.
Another option is to apply ice to the infected area. Wrap the ice in a washcloth to keep the temperature from freezing your skin
Step 2. Try using tea leaf oil
Tea leaf oil acts as a pesticide and can kill scabies mites, such as sulfur. You can find tea leaf oil at your local pharmacy, as well as at naturopathic stores.
- Add 10 drops of tea leaf oil with 100ml of cleansing cream. Apply to your body the same as you would a normal cleansing cream, making sure to cover all parts of your body including the nooks and crannies of your body. You can also add tea leaf oil to your shampoo to kill the scabies mites in your hair.
- About 20-25 drops of tea leaf oil can be poured into the bath to soak your entire body in this oiled water.
Step 3. Also use calendula oil
To treat your itchy and bleeding skin sores, a calendula ointment or rub can be used to reduce the itching and relieve the itching. These ointments should be used after you have cleaned the surface of your skin with soap and warm water. This should be done three times a day.
Calendula is known for its antiseptic properties and can help eliminate the possibility of other bacteria that can arise in bacterial infections of wounds and holes in your body. Calendula can also soothe the skin and reduce itching
Part 3 of 4: Preventing Transmission of Scabies
Step 1. Clean everything regularly
All carpets, upholstery, fabrics on sofas and in cars should be cleaned using a hot steam cleaner regularly and the cleaning bag should be properly tied and disposed of immediately.
- If the cleaning tool you are using has a receptacle instead of a bag, then the receptacle should be washed with soap and hot water.
- Clean and mop the floors of your home, especially the corners of the room, with a medically proven anti-bacterial remedy. Bleach is also an effective anti-germ.
- Sweep the entire house before you start cleaning the house with a vacuum cleaner.
Step 2. Wash clothes, sheets, and all fabrics
All upholstery such as curtains, pillows, blankets, sheets, etc. “and” your clothes should be soaked in hot boiling water (about 100o C) for half an hour. Then use the washer on a hot dryer for 30 minutes on the highest temperature.
- If there are other people living with you, their clothes should be washed regularly too, but separately, in different tubs and at different times in the same washing machine. This will need to be continued for at least a week before you realize that there are no more wounds on your body.
- If you can't do this regularly, place the entire cloth in an airtight container for two weeks to make sure that all the mites are dead and won't reappear.
- Wear gloves when handling these clothes and throw them away after use.
Step 3. Stay away from your kitchen
During this time, you should not enter your kitchen; order someone else to take care of the kitchen work and cooking. Not only is it dangerous for you, it will also harm your entire family.
All cooking utensils must be sterile by soaking them in hot water before and after use
Step 4. Get rid of all germs on all surfaces, especially in the bathroom
All hard surfaces – tiles, sinks, bathtubs – should be cleaned. Spray every reachable area with an anti-bacterial and wipe it clean. Use gloves that you can throw away after use.
And when you use a place that has been cleaned, but the place is still exposed to germs, you have to clean it "again". Keep this in mind every time you shower or use the bathroom
Step 5. Go to public places responsibly
Any place you visit when you get scurvy is likely to become infected. Therefore, you should not go out until your treatment is complete and your scurvy is cured. However, if you must go out, go responsibly. Cover your skin and don't touch other objects or people.
Do not go to swimming pools and similar places. Scabies is highly contagious and can spread within seconds. Do not transmit your disease until your disease is cured
Step 6. Don't worry about your pet
You don't need to treat your pet. If you're still wondering whether or not your pet has contracted the mange you have, the answer is absolutely no. Insects are “human” itch mites; scabies will not be transmitted to animals.
You should know that human dust mites will not survive for 2-3 days. So even if the mites stick to pets through your clothes. It will die in 2-3 days without causing any symptoms or causing any problems for your pet
Part 4 of 4: Knowing the Symptoms, Difficulties, and Treatment
Step 1. Know what scabies is
Scabies is a contagious infection that makes your skin very itchy. Scabies is caused by a tiny mite called Sarcoptes scaibiei, or the itch mite. It hides under your skin and causes itching. Following are the symptoms:
- Itching that occurs continuously for several weeks and will feel very itchy at night
- Small red bumps connected to each other by gray or pink lines
- Holes (looks like lines) between bumps
Step 2. Find out how the disease spreads
Scabies is spread by person-to-person contact. It can also be contagious if you share clothes, mattresses, or towels. Therefore, pay attention to who you touch and who touches you.
- Immediately take preventive steps such as cleaning yourself with anti-bacterial soap and warm water by scrubbing regularly if you catch scabies. You should also wash your clothes.
- Do not come into contact with other people if you have scurvy and/or if someone else has scurvy. Even shaking hands for 5 seconds can also transmit this mite infection.
Step 3. Know the difficulty if you don't treat the disease
If you don't treat it or treat it badly, this scurvy will cause intense itching that may be worse than before. Scabies can also recur and you need to take care of yourself so you don't get scabies again.
- Scratching infected skin with scabies can make the wound more serious, and it can even lead to other skin infections.
- Scars are a common complication of scabies infection, which causes excessive itching of the skin. To avoid scarring due to scabies, you can immediately start treatment and should be followed up to T.
Step 4. Know that you "must" finish your medication even if the symptoms have gone
The disappearance of itching cannot be a sign that you have recovered from scurvy or are completely free of mites. People are usually so bothered by the itching that when the itching goes away they will feel relieved and ignore it. Unfortunately, scurvy is not like that.
On the other hand, there is a high chance that you will be reinfected after you kill the mites on your body, because unbroken mite eggs may still be under your skin. When they burst and new mites appear, the itching will recur, so you should complete the entire treatment process
Suggestion
- If you can't find neem leaves in your area, there are many shops that stock neem paste, neem juice or neem juice that you can use.
- You can add 25 to 30 ml of tea leaf oil or neem juice when soaking or even washing your clothes.
- The things above are some things that can help you kill the scabies mite, and you must repeat it regularly until you completely kill the eggs that are still on your skin, otherwise every 2-3 days new sores or infections will arise and the cycle starts all over again.
- Feel free to treat your house maids or home visitors.
- Scabies prefers hot and valley environments with unsanitary conditions.
Warning
- Do not apply cleaning agents, detergents, soaps, or insecticides on your body that you will use to clean floors or items. Cleaning agents, detergents, etc. may not be very effective against human dust mites, but they can also harm your body and skin.
- Tobacco is often believed to be an insecticide, but don't apply tobacco directly to your skin as this can cause a nicotine overdose.
