The price of Gucci belts is quite expensive because this luxury brand is very popular. Therefore, the authenticity of the belt you buy needs to be ensured. Most fake Gucci belts have minor flaws, for example: the material is stringy, there is no serial number stamp, or the stitching is imperfect. Check the packaging and case and pay attention to the details of the workmanship to ensure the authenticity of your Gucci belt.
Step
Part 1 of 3: Checking the Wrap
Step 1. Check the color and logo on the paper bag
All genuine Gucci belts are contained in a paper bag. The color of the paper bag is dark brown and it has a double G logo (both capital letters, one facing back, the other normal) printed all over its cross section, except for the bottom side of the interior.
The top of the paper bag also features a dark brown strap. The rope is tied so that the product inside does not spill
Step 2. Make sure the brand name on the cloth pouch is written in gold letters
All genuine Gucci belts come with a fabric pocket. The pouch is dark in color and has the words “GUCCI” in golden yellow letters in the center. In the upper right corner of the bag there is a drawstring, just a thread.
The inside of the cloth bag has a label that says “Gucci Made in Italy.” If you don't see this label, your belt may be fake
Step 3. Request the original payment receipt
If you did not order a Gucci belt from an authorized dealer or dealer, we recommend that you request the original receipt as proof of purchase. This can convince you of the authenticity of the belt.
The original payment receipt has the Gucci brand name at the top, the address of a verifiable Gucci official store or store, the contact information and the description/price of the belt you purchased
Part 2 of 3: Checking the Belt
Step 1. Observe if the stitches are perfectly straight
Gucci belt stitching is absolutely flawless. Not just barely, but 100% perfect. You pay dearly because this brand is known for its high quality. The stitches should be perpendicular (not slanted) to the exact same size of each stitch.
If any of the stitching is flawed, your Gucci belt may be fake
Step 2. Check for lint
Genuine Gucci belts are crafted with impeccable precision. If you see any stringy material, it's almost certainly a fake. Especially if you bought a “new” Gucci belt but when you receive it, there are already stringy parts.
If you see any flaws in the material, it's possible that the belt you're holding is fake
Step 3. Make sure the buckle is soldered to the belt body
Fake Gucci belt buckles are often simply clipped to the belt body while genuine products are usually soldered to the belt body. The buckles on all genuine Gucci belt models are never attached with the help of buttons.
Some models use a screw on the back of the buckle while other models do not. You need to check the specifications of each model
Step 4. Find the Gucci stamp
Real Gucci belts come with a stamp on the back side, fake ones don't. On some newer belts, the stamp position is near the buckle while the older models have the stamp position slightly towards the center, about half the length of the belt body.
The stamp bears the brand name, “Made in Italy,” and bears the product identification number
Step 5. Verify the serial number
The original Gucci serial number consists of 21 digits. Usually the number starts with “114” or “223.”
If the serial number starts with “1212,” your belt is confirmed to be fake. That's the serial number that's commonly affixed to fake Gucci belts
Part 3 of 3: Checking the Belt Details
Step 1. Check the GG color and pattern on the GG Beige Monogram belt
For this model belt, the initial pattern must start with two G's, it must not be cut in the middle or anywhere else in the pattern. The buckle is not screwed. The background of the belt body should be beige, but the GG design should be blue. The back of the belt body is made of black leather.
Between every two GG patterns, the second G usually has a belt hole
Step 2. Note the metallic look on the Black Imprime “G double belt buckle
For this model belt, the buckles are two letter Gs, one normal, the other upside down. The normal letter G looks matte while the upside down is metallic. The back of the belt body is made of suede. The “Double G” logo must be imprinted perfectly along the body of the belt.
This model should have a screw on the back of the buckle. Check the back of the buckle for visible screws or not
Step 3. Note the “double G” logo on the Guccissima model belt
Belt sizes should be listed in the serial number, not printed on other areas of the belt body – counterfeit products often list the size on the belt tail. The seams must include a “double G” logo along the body of the belt. The back of the belt body is made of suede.
