Iced tea is a refreshing drink, especially in hot weather. Delicious iced tea is something that everyone likes, whether just as a substitute for hot tea or as a treat for friends. That said, there are a few things you'll need to prepare, so follow these steps to find out how to make your own fresh iced tea.

Simple Black Iced Tea

- 3-4 black tea bags
- 1 cup any chopped fruit

Method 1 of 5: Simple Black Iced Tea
Step 1. Bring 2 cups (480 ml) of water to a rapid boil
You can boil water in a small saucepan.
Step 2. Turn off the fire
Step 3. Add 3 - 5 bags of your favorite black tea
Ceylon and Keemun tea can be one of your choices because it does not make your drink cloudy when left to soak. You can even choose a special tea blend made especially for iced tea.
Step 4. Soak the tea bag in hot water for 5 minutes
If left longer, your tea will become bitter. But if you soak it too short, then the tea race will become too weak. This mixture will make a strong tea mix -- and you'll soon be diluting it with water. Remove the tea bag after 5 minutes.
Step 5. Pour the tea into the drinking water
Wait for 5-10 minutes to cool.
Step 6. Pour 2 cups (480 ml) of cold water into the tea
The water will thin the tea and reduce its consistency. You can stir it so that it is evenly mixed.
Step 7. Chill the tea until cool in the refrigerator
The time it takes for the tea to cool is about 2 - 3 hours.
Step 8. Serve the tea
Pour the tea into a glass filled with ice. Squeeze a slice of lemon into the tea and add a sprig of mint on top. If you like adding sugar, start by adding and stirring half a teaspoon of sugar into it, and add more to your liking.
Method 2 of 5: Fruity Ice Tea
Step 1. Make strong black tea
Use the same method you use to make a simple black iced tea: boil 2 cups of water, soak 3-5 tea bags for 5 minutes, pour 2 cups of water into the tea mixture, and add sugar and lemon juice to taste. Pour this mixture into a bowl of water.
Step 2. Cool in the refrigerator
Leave the tea in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
Step 3. Add 1/2 cup of sugar syrup
Mix well. If the taste is not sweet enough, add more sugar syrup to it.
Step 4. Fill one cup with sliced fresh fruit
Chop peaches, pineapples, strawberries, raspberries and apples until the cup is full. You can put lemon juice on it.
Step 5. Add chopped fruit to the tea
Stir until mixed and floats evenly in the drink.
Step 6. Serve the tea
Pour the tea into a glass filled with ice. Add one mint leaf on top.
Method 3 of 5: Strawberry Iced Tea
Step 1. Pour 1.8 liters of hot black tea into a large ceramic or glass bowl
Step 2. Add 1/3 cup of caster sugar to the tea
Stir until smooth and sugar is dissolved.
Step 3. Add 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice
Taste it to see if your tea needs more sweetener or lemon juice. Adjust to your taste. Then, let it cool.
Step 4. Puree 900g of strawberries
Strain the puree using a fine sieve to remove the seeds. Press the strawberries with the back of a wooden spoon.
Step 5. After the tea has cooled, add the mashed strawberries and stir until evenly distributed
Pour the mixture into the drink.
Step 6. Refrigerate for 30 minutes
Allow the tea to cool and mix well for 30 minutes or so.
Step 7. Serve
Fill a glass with ice and pour the tea into it. Add a few strawberries -- chopped or whole -- to the rim of the glass for garnish.
Method 4 of 5: Vanilla Iced Green Tea
Step 1. Boil 4 teaspoons of Sencha Tea in 1 L of hot water
Leave the tea in it for 1-2 minutes.
Step 2. Strain the tea into a drinker or teapot
Step 3. Add 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
Stir evenly.
Step 4. Add 1 tablespoon of honey
Stir evenly.
Step 5. Mix the tea evenly
Stir until all parts of the tea are evenly mixed.
Step 6. Serve the tea with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to each glass, and pour the chilled green tea over the top. This tea can be served as a dessert.
Method 5 of 5: Other Iced Tea Variations
Step 1. Make sweet tea
This version is usually great for people who like sweetness and baking in the southern US. The sugar is not completely dissolved in the tea. To make it, you can follow the recipe for making simple black iced tea, and add 1 cup of sugar syrup for every 2 cups of tea water. If it's not sweet enough, add more.
This tea is perfect for adding mint
Step 2. Make lemon iced tea
To make this orange-flavored tea, start by making regular black tea by boiling 2 cups of water, soaking 3-5 tea bags for 5 minutes and adding 2 cups of water to it. Then, squeeze the lemon juice up to 1/2 cup. Add the lemon juice to the tea. If it doesn't taste like lemon, add more. Serve the tea with ice and sugar and fresh mint leaves.
Step 3. Make vanilla iced tea
Boil 2 cups of regular black tea. Allow to cool and add 1 cup cold water, or ice cubes. Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence. Serve with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream.
Tips
- To sweeten the tea after it cools, use agave nectar. Agave will dissolve in cold liquids, unlike sugar or honey.
- Do you know? Can tea be damaged by fungus? If your tea smells or tastes sour and looks like it's moldy, then your tea is spoiled - throw it away.
- Is the outside temperature over 32 C. Take a glass with a lid. Fill with water and tea. Cover the glass and place it in the sun. Leave it for 3 hours or more. Serve with ice.
- You may want to add a few chopped mint leaves to your tea to give it a mild mint flavor.
- For iced tea that is cooler and quicker to make, you can put the tea in the freezer for an hour or two.
- Don't make tea in a coffee maker like most restaurants. It feels much different. Homemade tea will taste even better!
- The basic rule of making iced tea is to add 50 percent more tea as you need to make hot tea; so that the taste is sufficient and will not be lost due to melting ice.
- You can also add a squeeze of lemon juice to make lemon iced tea.
- Instead of lemon, try adding a few lemon leaves.
- You can also make tea with ginger to enhance the taste.
Warning
- Do not soak the tea for more than 5 minutes.
- Sometimes the iced tea becomes cloudy due to the strands of tea leaves. If this happens, the taste of the tea will not change. But if you don't like it, pour a little boiling water into the tea. This cloudiness will disappear after that.
- Make sure not to put too much sugar in it, or it will taste bad. Don't add too much. Remember to use just a little until enough.
