Clothes will wear out as you wear and wash them more often. Because it often rubs against other surfaces, the fibers of the clothes are damaged so that the surface of the clothes looks dull. Over time, the color of clothes also disappears and fades. You can extend the life and color of your clothes with these sorting, washing and drying instructions.
Step
Part 1 of 3: Preparing to Wash Colored Clothes
Step 1. Turn all clothes over before washing
Because the clothes are turned over, the friction of the fibers is mostly on the inside of the clothes, which people don't see.
Step 2. Attach zippers, buttons, and wash belts separately
These objects are too hard to rub against soft, colored clothing. So, take a little time to think about all three of these things before washing clothes.
Step 3. Separate black, pastel, bright and white clothes
You can increase the brightness of the color of the clothes by matching the laundry groups according to the color type.
Step 4. Place soft fabrics, belts, and underwear inside pillowcases
Bras and other delicate fabrics will damage more quickly because they rub against the straps.
Step 5. Collect the blue jeans for a separate wash
Denim and other abrasive fabrics will damage other clothing fibers. Hard and soft clothes should not be washed together.
Part 2 of 3: Washing Colored Clothes
Step 1. Buy a high-efficiency washing machine
This washing machine uses slower and longer movements to wash clothes. This washing machine basin is also smoother than the usual washing machine basin.
Step 2. Use a mild detergent
Purchase a detergent specifically for high-efficiency washing machines. Fill as much as less than the maximum amount, unless the feces are very heavy.
Step 3. Wash new clothes of light and dark colors in the first wash
Set the water temperature to about 16 degrees Celsius, and apply a mild detergent to the minimum level.
Step 4. Use cold water to wash all colored, light and dark clothes (separately)
Do not let the water temperature exceed 27 degrees Celsius. Detergent also works well with cold water.
Step 5. Set the washing machine on the shortest cycle
A short cycle is sufficient to clean clothes, unless the dirt is heavy.
If socks, sportswear or underwear are soiled, use an enzyme detergent. Wash separately at 21-26 degrees Celsius
Step 6. Adjust the washing schedule in winter
If you live in a cold climate, the laundry water can be set at 4 degrees Celsius. Since the temperature is too low for most detergents, you will need to use the warm setting while the water is cooler.
Step 7. Pour half to one cup (118 to 237 ml) of white vinegar into the washing machine basin of light-colored clothes
Vinegar is effective in maintaining color.
Step 8. Add half a cup (146 g) of salt when washing brightly colored clothes that are likely to fade
Salt is used to set the dye on the fiber, so the color doesn't fade.
Salt is used to make special detergents for colored clothes
Part 3 of 3: Drying Colored Clothes
Step 1. Hang all colored clothes if possible
The heat and rotation of the dryer accelerates the color fading. Buy a clothes rack and hang your clothes there.
Dry the woolen clothes by placing them on a towel
Step 2. Dry the clothes directly in the sun during the summer
Clothes will feel fresher and their colors last longer than if they were machine-dried.
Step 3. Set the dryer on the shortest time
Clothes will be damaged and dull more quickly if they are dried for too long.
Step 4. Change clothes if you are going to be outside all day
Sunlight will quickly whiten the fiber. The closer you are to the equator, the stronger the effect will be.
