It must be really annoying when you take your clothes out of the washing machine and find tissues scattered and stuck all over the clothes. This error can at least remind you to always check the bag before putting it in the washing machine. You can work around this problem by putting your clothes in the dryer, using a mixture of aspirin and hot water, or picking up leftover tissues by hand.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Shake or Dry the Clothes
Step 1. Shake the clothes
Be sure to do this in a trash can or somewhere easy to clean. Shake the clothes a few times to remove as much of the tissue residue as possible.
Use a clothes brush to remove any tissue residue that is still stuck to the clothes
Step 2. Sweep up the scattered tissue
Sweep up any tissue that falls on the floor and throw it away. This step can clean wipes that easily come off with just a flick. Collect tissue residue from the soil if you are shaking it outdoors. Many types of tissue are dyed and chemical that should not contaminate the soil.
Step 3. Put the clothes in the dryer
A lint collector will remove most of the tissue residue, or maybe all of it.
Dry the clothes a second time to remove the last remnants of the tissue
Method 2 of 3: Using Aspirin
Step 1. Put the clothes that have the tissue on them in a bucket of hot water
Take a plastic bucket and put four aspirin tablets in the water. The amount of water will depend on the amount of clothing, but usually around 8 liters of water should suffice.
Step 2. Stir until the aspirin dissolves
Aspirin dissolves tissue quickly. This remedy is especially useful if the tissue is already stuck to the inside of the bag and the inner seams, as well as the outer surface of the fabric. In addition, aspirin is completely safe and will not damage clothing.
Step 3. Dry the soaked clothes
After soaking them overnight, dry them in the dryer on the lowest setting. This way the clothes will come back clean and ready to wear.
Method 3 of 3: Picking up Tissue by Hand
Step 1. Pick up any leftover wipes that the dryer missed
These tissue residues tend to be more difficult to clean because they are already stuck to the fabric. If it starts to come off from drying, the rest of the tissue should come off and clump together, making it easier to pick up by hand.
Step 2. Use masking tape to clean the tissue
You can use large tape or better duct tape, as they are stronger. Wrap your hands with duct tape with the adhesive side facing out and touch the clothes. The tissue residue will definitely stick to the duct tape and you can easily clean the tissue residue from your clothes.
Step 3. Use a lint roller
Lint rollers are inexpensive and can be obtained easily online. Roll it on the clothes, and the tissue residue, as well as the lint, will stick to the lint roller.
