This wikiHow teaches you how to download Instagram videos on your Android device. The Google Play Store provides various free applications that can be used to download videos from the Instagram public account. However, note that you cannot download videos from private accounts, even if you and the account follow each other on Instagram.

Method 1 of 2: Using Video Downloader App for Instagram
Step 1. Install the "Video Downloader for Instagram" app which is also known as "Video Downloader - for Instagram"
By using this application, you can download Instagram videos sent (posts) by public accounts. Follow these steps to install it:

Open the app
Play Store.
- Tap the search field (search bar).
- Tik to video downloader for instagram.
- Tap option Video Downloader - for Instagram that appears in the drop-down menu.
- Tap the button INSTALL (INSTALL) and tap the button AGREE (ACCEPT) if requested.
Step 2. Open Instagram
Tap the colorful camera-shaped Instagram icon. After that, the Home page that displays other people's photos will open automatically if you have logged in to the account.
If you're not logged into your Instagram account, type in your email address (electronic mail also known as email) and password when prompted. You can also enter a username or cell phone number instead of an email address
Step 3. Find the video you want to download
Scroll down the screen or use the search field to find the video you want to download to your device.
Make sure the video can be accessed by the public (not from a private account). Also, make sure the video is a regular post, not a video uploaded to Stories
Step 4. Tap
It's at the top right of the video. Tapping it will display a drop-down menu on the screen.
Step 5. Tap Copy Link
This option is in the drop-down menu. Clicking on that option will copy the video link.
If the dropdown doesn't show the "Copy Link" option, you can select Share Link (Share Link) and tap Copy to Clipboard (Copy to Clipboard). If you don't find these two options, you won't be able to download the video.
Step 6. Open the Video Downloader for Instagram app
Tap the Video Downloader for Instagram icon to open it. The app icon is a downward-facing arrow on a colorful background.
Step 7. Tap ALLOW when prompted
Tapping the button will allow Video Downloader for Instagram to save the video to the device.
Step 8. Paste the copied link if needed
Usually the Video Downloader for Instagram application will automatically detect the copied video link and display the video preview at the top of the screen. If the app doesn't detect the video link, tap the button Glue (PASTE) at the top of the screen.
Step 9. Tap the "Share" button (Share)
This button is three small white circles in front of a pink background. You can find it on the right side of the screen
Step 10. Tap Download Image (Download Image)
It's in the "Share" menu. Tapping on it will download the video to the device.
You may see an ad when you try to download a video. If an ad appears, tap the button X in the corner of the screen before continuing.
Step 11. Search for videos on device
Once the video has been downloaded to your device, you can search for it in the following ways:
- Photos - Tap Photos icon, tap tab Albums, and tap the album Downloads. You will find the downloaded videos in this album. If you use another app similar to Photos, such as the Samsung Gallery app, you can find videos in the app Videos.
- File Manager - Open a file manager application, such as ES File Explorer. After that, select the default storage device on the device, such as SD card, tap the folder Download, and look for the downloaded video icon.
Method 2 of 2: Using SaveFromWeb
Step 1. Open Instagram
Tap the colorful camera-shaped Instagram icon. After that, the Home menu that displays other people's photos will open automatically if you are logged in to your account.
If you're not logged into your Instagram account, enter your email address and password when prompted. You can also enter a username or cell phone number instead of an email address
Step 2. Find the video you want to download
Scroll down the screen or use the search field to find the video you want to download to your device.
Make sure the video can be accessed by the public (not from a private account). Also, make sure the video is a regular post, not a video uploaded to Stories
Step 3. Tap
It's at the top right of the video. After that, a drop-down menu will appear on the screen.
Step 4. Tap Copy Link
This option is in the drop-down menu. Tapping on it will copy the video link.
If this dropdown doesn't show options Copy Link, you will not be able to download videos.
Step 5. Open
Google Chrome.
Press the Home button on the device to close the Instagram app. After that, tap on the Chrome icon which is a ball that is red, yellow, green, and blue.
Step 6. Tap the URL field (address bar)
The URL field is the field where you can write the website address and is at the top of the Chrome screen. After tapping on it, you can type the website address.
Step 7. Open the SaveFromWeb website
Type savefromweb.com and tap the "Enter" or "Search" button.
Step 8. Tap the “Paste Instagram Video” text field
This box column is in the middle of the page. Tapping it will bring up the on-screen keyboard.
Step 9. Tap and hold the text field
After holding down the box column for a while, a pop up menu will appear on the screen.
Step 10. Tap Paste
This option appears on the pop up menu. Tapping it will paste the Instagram video link in the text field.
Step 11. Tap Download
This button is to the right of the text field. Tapping on it will open the video in a preview window.
Step 12. Download the video
Tap the button ⋮ which is at the bottom right of the video preview on SaveFromWeb. After that, tap the button Download which is in the drop-down menu. Chrome will download the video to the Downloads folder on your device.
Step 13. Search for videos on device
Once the video has been downloaded to your device, you can search for it in the following ways:
- Photos - Tap Photos icon, tap tab Albums, and tap the album Downloads. You will find the downloaded videos in this album. If you use another app similar to Photos, such as the Samsung Gallery app, you can find videos in the app Videos.
- File Manager - Open a file manager application, such as ES File Explorer. After that, select the default storage device on the device, such as SD card, tap the folder Download, and look for the downloaded video icon.
- Notification Menu - Drag the screen from top to bottom to display the notification menu. After that, tap on the "Download complete" notification.
Tips
Usually you can't download Instagram ads that are videos

- Downloading Instagram videos may violate Instagram's terms of use. In addition, uploading or re-shared videos belonging to other users without their permission may violate copyright laws.
- You cannot download Instagram videos from personal accounts.
