Internet Download Manager is one of the best programs that speed up downloads. According to the app's developer, IDM can increase download speeds by up to five times! However, for some reason, if you still want to increase the download speed, you can speed up the transfer of files by changing the program settings so that the internet bandwidth can be used optimally.

Step 1. Check IDM connection settings
If you are using a broadband connection, select the high-bandwidth connection type in the "Options > Connection" dialog.
Step 2. Increase the value "Default max
conn. numbers." Open "IDMan.exe", then go to the "Options" tab, click the "Connection" tab, and change the "Default max. conn. number" value from 8 to 16. Click "OK".
Step 3. Turn off the "Speed Limiter" option
Open "IDMan.exe", then go to the Download menu in the menu bar, then click the "Speed Limiter" tab, and select "Turn off".
Step 4. Delete the list of downloaded objects
Delete all data that has been downloaded using IDM, and reduce the amount of data contained in the IDM queue.

Other apps might be downloading something at the same time. It would be better if you close the applications that also use the internet. By closing computer applications, IDM can use RAM more efficiently.
Step 6. Set the download schedule
With a significant drop in network traffic, downloads will run much faster at night.
