This wikiHow teaches you how to download videos on your Android tablet or smartphone. If you want to download videos from sites like Vimeo and Facebook, you can use an app called InsTube. Use the Tubemate app if you only want to download videos from YouTube.

Method 1 of 2: Using InsTube
Step 1. Open Settings
on Android devices.
Tap the gear or slider-shaped app icon in the Android device's App Drawer.
Step 2. Scroll down the screen, then tap Security
This option is in the middle of the Settings page.
On Samsung Galaxy, you have to tap the screen instead Lock screen and security.
Step 3. Check the "Unknown sources" box
This allows you to install apps that are not from the Google Play Store.
- On the Samsung Galaxy, slide the white button that says "Unknown sources" to the right.
- Maybe you should tap OK when asked to confirm this selection.
Step 4. Run the browser (browser)
By default, the browser used on Android devices is Chrome. InsTube cannot be found on the Google Play Store so you have to download it on the InsTube site.

You can do this by tapping the notification that the file has finished downloading, then tapping the file on the page Downloads which is in the file manager.
- On the Samsung Galaxy, tap OPEN located at the bottom of the screen when the file is finished downloading.
- Some Android devices have a " Downloads " application in the App Drawer. The downloaded file will be saved there.
Step 10. Tap INSTALL when prompted
Once you tap on it, InsTube will be installed on the Android device.
Step 11. Run InsTube
Tap OPEN in the installation window, or tap the InsTube icon in the Android device's App Drawer.
Step 12. Go to the video you want to download
Enter the website address (eg www.facebook.com) in the text field at the top of the screen, or tap the app icon on the main InsTube page. Type in the name of the video you want, then tap the video.
Step 13. Tap on “Download” button
The button is a red circle with a white arrow pointing downwards at the bottom right of the screen. A drop-down menu will be displayed.
Step 14. Tap on M4A
It's at the top of the drop-down menu.
Step 15. Select the desired quality
To do this, tap the number in the drop-down menu. The Android device will start downloading the video.
Once the download is complete, find the video in the " Downloads " section of your Android device's file manager
Method 2 of 2: Using Tubemate
Step 1. Open Settings

Type youtube.com into the text field at the top of the screen, then find the video you want and tap it. The video will play.
Step 13. Tap on the “Downloads” arrow
It's a green arrow at the top of the screen. A drop-down menu will be displayed.
Step 14. Select the desired resolution
Tap the number in the drop-down menu. The download will start once you select the video quality.
