Part 1 of 4: Eligibility to Fly
Step 1. Make sure your driving ability is at the Expert level

Step 2. Keep playing until you reach level 60
At level 60, you can buy Expert driving abilities if you haven't bought them before.
Step 3. Find a flight instructor
Characters that can train you to fly can generally be found at:
- Borean Tundra: Maigra Keenfeather can be found in Valiance Keep, and Wind Rider Sabamba can be found in Warsong Hold.
- Dalaran: Hira Snowdawn can be found in Crystalsong Forest.

Step 4. Purchase the Expert Riding ability
This ability sells for 250 gold. After purchasing this ability, you can fly 150% faster than usual.
Once your faction's reputation has reached Exalted, you can purchase this ability for 200 gold
Step 5. Purchase a flying vehicle from a flying instructor
This vehicle costs 50 gold. If you use Alliance, you can buy Gryphon. If using a Horde, visit Orgrimmar and buy a Windrider.
In Pandaria, you can only fly after reaching level 90. Most Pandaria flying vehicles require certain abilities, such as the Cloud Serpent ability
Part 2 of 4: Fly the Vehicle and Improve Its Abilities
Step 1. Use the ability to fly
Open the Spellbook and click the "Mounts" menu. The ability to fly can be found in this menu.

This ability can be purchased for 5000 gold. The speed of your flying vehicle will change to 280% faster than normal.
Step 5. Keep playing until level 80 to unlock Master Riding
This ability can be purchased for 5000 gold. The speed of the flying vehicle will change to 310% faster than normal.
Step 6. Learn the areas to visit and how to visit them
Once you reach level 60, you can learn how to fly. However, to fly in a certain area, you must meet the requirements. Generally, you will also need to purchase other abilities. Here are the things you need to know:

Step 5. Understand the limitations of flying forms

- Fly mode cannot be used when fighting.
- Fly mode cannot be used indoors.

Part 4 of 4: Getting Draenor Pathfinder to Fly in Draenor
Step 1. Get the Explore Draenor achievement
You'll need to explore the following areas: Frostfire Ridge, Goregrond, Nagrand, Shadowmoon Valley, Spiers of Arak, and Talador.
- To explore Frostfire Ridge, you'll need to find: Bladespire Citadel, Bloodmaul Stronghold, Bones of Agurak, Colossal's Fall, Daggermaw Ravine, Frostwind Crag, Grimfrost Hill, Grom'gar, Iron Siegeworks, Iron Waystation, Magnarok, Stonefang Outpost, The Boneslag, The Cracking Plains, and Wor'gol.
- To explore Goreground, you'll need to find: Bastion Rise, Beastwatch, Crimson Fen, Deadgrin, Evermorn Springs, Everbloom Wilds, Grimrail Depot, Gronn Canyon, Highpass, Iyun Weald, Stonemaul Arena, Tangleheart, The Iron Approach, and The Pit.
- To explore Nagrand, you must find: Ancestral Grounds, Broken Precipice, Gates of Grommashar, Hallvalor, Highmaul Harbor, Ironfist Harbor, Lok-rath, Mar'gok's Overwatch, Mok'gol Watchpost, Oshu'gun, Telaar, The Ring of Blood, Throne of the Elements, The Ring of Trials, and Zangar Shore.
- To explore Shadowmoon, you'll need to find: Anguish Fortress, Darktide Roost, Elodor, Embaari Village, Gloomshade Grove, Gul'var, Isle of Shadows, Karabor, Shaz'gul, Socrethar's Rise, and The Shimmer Moor.
- To explore Spires of Arak, you'll need to find: Admiral Taylor's Garrison, Axefall, Bladefist Hold, Bloodmane Valley, Lost Veil Anzu, Pinchwhistle Gearworks, Pinchwhistle Point, Ravenskar, Sethekk Hollow, Skettis, Southport, Terrace of Dawn, The Howling Crag, The Writhing Mire, Veil Akraz, Veil Zekk, and Windswept Terrace.
- To explore Talador, you must find: Anchorite's Sojourn, Aruuna, Auchindoun, Court of Souls, Duskfall Island, Fort Wrynn, Gordal Fortress, Gul'rok, Orunai Coast, Shattrath City, Telmor, The Path of Glory, Tomb of Lights, Tuurem, and Zangarra.
Step 2. Complete all story missions
You can find them in Frostfire Ridge (for Horde), Goregrond, Nagrand, Shadowmoon Valley (for Alliance), Spires of Arak, and Talador.
Step 3. Get Master Treasure Hunter achievement
You must collect 100 treasures in Draenor. The treasures of the Tanaan forest don't count.
Step 4. Complete 12 daily Apexis missions to earn the Securing Draenor achievement
The mission will remain the same, whether you are a member of the Alliance or the Horde. Below is a list of 12 missions that need to be completed:
- Assault on the Broken Precipice, Assault on Darktide Roost
- Assault on the Everbloom Wilds
