There's always a way to get more video views, subscribers and friends on YouTube. In fact, if you are talented and lucky enough, you can be famous too! Consider the suggestions below and adapt them to your situation.
Step
Method 1 of 5: Creating a YouTube Account
Step 1. Create a YouTube account by visiting https://www.youtube.com and clicking the Create account tab
Step 2. Choose a name that is easy to remember
When choosing a username, choose a name that is easy to remember, easy to read, and personally related or what you want to stand out on your channel. After some thought, choose a username carefully.
Method 2 of 5: Making a Successful Video
Step 1. Make your first video
Choose the subject you want to discuss. Instead, make videos about things you really know, or opinions you have. You may want to make a channel introduction video, to let viewers know what your channel will be about in the future.
For example, make a video about the next topic on your channel, when your next video will appear, and so on. Get people interested in knowing more about you
Step 2. Plan the video carefully, and make a backup plan
Plan your schedule and ideas for at least the next few months carefully, but leave room to cater to audience requests and other unexpected things. Also make a backup plan to anticipate busyness, lack of funds, or health problems when making videos.
Remember, prioritize quality, not quantity
Step 3. Get ideas
If you're having trouble finding things to talk about or do, watch another video and gather ideas. After watching a few videos, you may be inspired to make a response video, or even a clone of the original video.
Don't take other people's ideas. Generally, parody videos are still acceptable, because parody videos are considered a type of artistic expression that is not plagiarized. However, plagiarizing someone else's video script is certainly not acceptable
Step 4. Make videos related to breaking news, and make response videos for famous videos
Step 5. Focus on funny videos, such as kittens, puppies, laughing babies, children playing, smiles, hugs, and so on
Funny videos are loved by many viewers, and will continue to be liked. Find what viewers like through funny videos, then share it.
Step 6. Keep the channel simple
Once you've found a funnel idea that works, don't try an idea that's too far off the mark. Generally, viewers like a certain style and brand when they subscribe to a YouTube channel, and they expect videos of the same style to continue to be added to your channel. However, that doesn't mean you can't grow. Grow as you wish, but don't let yourself upload a metal video today, and a club video the next day (unless random videos are your channel idea!).
Step 7. Use good film technique
Natural light is the best light when shooting videos for YouTube. Successful YouTube players usually use studio or white lights, which provide good lighting, but still, natural lighting is much better.
It is also recommended that you have a background. Don't let your video have a dark background, or one that blends in with your outfit. To find cheap backdrops, search eBay or other online stores
Method 3 of 5: General Ideas for Increasing Channel Success
Step 1. Record video with a good quality camera, and never use a webcam
Webcams produce poor video and audio quality, so try investing in a good one. You certainly don't need to buy a camera for millions of rupiah. If the resulting audio and video quality is good, a cheap camera for hundreds of thousands is enough.
- Most digital cameras today can record video well.
- Find used cameras on auction sites if your budget is tight.
Step 2. Record the screen with a high quality screen recorder if needed
Make sure your recordings are 720p and above, because HD videos are very common these days.
- We recommend that you buy screen recording software, instead of using free software. Free screen recorders usually leave a Free Trial or Demo trail on the recording.
- If your screen recorder can't record sound, you'll need to buy a good microphone, or another screen recorder. Blue Snowball or Blue Yeti are commonly used by YouTube players, but actually, other cheap and good microphones can be used.
Step 3. Choose the right tag
Choosing a tag is an important step when uploading a video, as popular tags may make it difficult for people to find your video. Choose a tag that is unique but accurate.
- Use proper titles, descriptions and tags. YouTube sorts videos by video title, description, and tags.
- For example, if you're posting an opinion video about Lil' Wayne's music career, don't use the "Lil' Wayne" tag, as there will be a lot of search results for that keyword. But if you use the tags Lil' Wayne, Cash Money, Music, Career, and History, your video may get more views, not because you use more tags, but because the tags you use actually narrow the search results.
Step 4. Try to get a lot of customers
Getting subscribers is one of the most important things you should do on YouTube. When someone subscribes to a channel, they become your fan. Customers are motivation for some people.
- To grab a prospect's heart, use the description box on your YouTube channel. Most people ignore this box, but any channel visitor will see the box, so you may want to use the description box to provide information about the next video, or tell who you are. The right description will increase the number of subscribers on your channel.
- To retain customers, keep your promises. For example, if you promise a new video by Friday, make sure your video actually uploads on Friday (read the planning material at the top of this article). Another way to retain subscribers is to make videos on a regular basis, say once or twice a week. You don't need to make videos too often, the most important thing is that you upload them on the right schedule.
Step 5. Don't litter
People will find you, really. By trashing, you will destroy your YouTube career.
Method 4 of 5: Creating a Review
Step 1. If you want to make a review on your channel, find out about what's new in the area that interests you
Don't make a video that strays too far from the topic, because the review may be boring in the eyes of the viewer. Make a simple video.
- If you want to cover a fairly lengthy topic, choose the topic carefully, and make sure you cover only that topic. Again, try to make the video short and concise.
- If you really want to make a long video, break the video into parts, for example "part 1", "part 2", and so on. This way, viewers who liked the first part of the video can watch the next part of the video.
- If you want to create a video series, create a video that connects the viewer, such as a short video with links to different video series.
Step 2. Give your review a personal touch
Don't copy other YouTube players.
Step 3. As much as possible, avoid personal bias in your review
Give a descriptive opinion.
- Try comparing the product you are reviewing with other similar products.
- Discuss how the product differs from other products, what you like about the product, and what you don't like.
Step 4. Don't give too many negative opinions
People don't like negative opinions, so make videos that are descriptive and fact-based.
Method 5 of 5: Thicken Skin
Step 1. Believe in yourself
YouTube can be a great place to play, but it can also be mentally depressing if someone hates you on the site. No matter what you do, no matter what you look like, there is someone out there who wants to bring you down because their life is pathetic. They dare to do it because they are invisible. The best thing you can do when you receive a scathing comment is to delete the comment, block the sender, and never respond to it. Don't give the sender satisfaction. Take care of your self-respect, and don't let other people ruin it.
- Decide if you accept comments on a particular video. It's certainly not the right thing to let people insult your work.
- Don't take the negative comments to heart. Some people enjoy being a bitch on the internet. Ignore them, and be a good internet citizen.
- When free speech is used as a shield, remind commenters that they have used that freedom. Reading insults wrapped in criticism now feels annoying.
Tips
- Check feedback regularly. Respond to feedback quickly, so people will come back to your channel.
- Decorate your YouTube channel with cool profile pictures, channel art, and more, so your channel looks more professional and attracts potential customers.
- Make sure you keep getting viewers to subscribe to your channel, with subscribe buttons, links, and calls to action.
- Don't be afraid to start your YouTube channel. Do something fun!
- Make an introduction video as the first video, so people can get to know you.
