If you sell on eBay, there are times when you need to delete one of your products. Goods that are sold at a fixed price can be canceled at any time, while items that are auctioned can be canceled if there is an incorrect information on the item, or if the item is lost or damaged. Ebay strongly discourages users from canceling sales early and may impose limits on your account if you do so frequently. You may even be fined for canceling a sale early. Auction items that accept bids with a time limit of less than 12 hours cannot be cancelled. This WikiHow article teaches you how to cancel an item for sale on eBay.

Tips
- Double-check all the details of the items for sale and make sure they work and are in stock before displaying the items for sale on eBay. This habit will help reduce the chance that you will need to remove an item for sale from eBay.
- Before deleting an item for sale, explain in detail to bidders the situation that led to the item being removed. In most cases, as long as you communicate the situation openly, bidders may be able to retract their bids, and will be less likely to leave negative feedback for you as the seller.
