This wikiHow teaches you how to get free songs (on a regular basis) from iTunes by downloading the Free Song Notifier app. This app notifies you whenever a song is offered for free on iTunes. Previously, iTunes had free features such as "Single of the Week" and "Free on iTunes", but these features were removed and replaced with regularly scheduled free offers.

Step 1. Visit the Free Songs Notifier app page on the Apple App Store
Step 2. Touch the GET button, and select INSTALL.
After that, the app will be installed to your iPhone or iPad.
Currently, this application is not yet available in the desktop version
Step 3. Open the FreeSong app
Step 4. Browse the available song selections
According to the developer of this application, the songs displayed are constantly being updated.

To receive notifications about new songs, touch the settings icon (“settings”)

Step 5. Touch the Get it on iTunes button next to the song you want to download
Step 6. Touch Get it
The iTunes Store app will open and display the song you want to download.
Step 7. Touch the GET button next to the song you want to download

If prompted, enter your Apple ID password or touch the fingerprint sensor to enter Touch ID
Step 9. Open the Music app to play the downloaded song
Find the song in the "Recently Added" section of your phone's music library (“Library”).
