This wikiHow teaches you how to chat with two or more people on both mobile and desktop versions of WeChat.

Method 1 of 2: On WeChat Desktop Version
Step 1. Open WeChat
Click or double-click the WeChat icon, which looks like a stack of green and white speech bubbles.
If you are not logged into your WeChat account on your computer, open the WeChat QR code scanner on your phone or tablet, then scan the QR code that appears in the center of the WeChat window on your computer
Step 2. Click
It's on the right side of the search bar, at the top of the WeChat window. A drop-down menu will appear after that.
Step 3. Select a contact
Click the checkbox next to (at least) two contact names.
Step 4. Click OK
It's at the bottom of the drop-down menu. After that, a chat group with the selected contacts will be created.
Step 5. Add the contact to an existing chat thread
If you want to add a contact to an existing chat group, follow these steps:
- Select a chat from the left column.
- Click " ⋯ ” in the upper right corner of the window.
- Click " ＋ ” in the upper right corner of the window.
- Select at least one contact, then click “ OK ”.
Method 2 of 2: On WeChat Mobile Version
Step 1. Open WeChat
This app is marked by a green icon with two white speech bubbles. If you are logged into your WeChat account, you will be taken to the last tab you opened.
If not, touch " Login ”, enter the account phone number and password, and select “ Login " You will also need to verify the phone number via text message.
Step 2. Touch Chats
It's a speech bubble icon in the lower-left corner of the screen.
On the Android device, touch “ WeChat ” in the lower-left corner of the screen.
Step 3. Touch
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 4. Touch New Chat
It's at the top of the drop-down menu.
Step 5. Touch at least two contact names
Select a contact in the “Contacts” section at the bottom of the screen.
Step 6. Touch OK
A chat group will be created. Whenever a group member sends a message, anyone in the group will receive a notification.
Step 7. Add contacts to existing chats
If you want to add a contact to an existing chat, follow these steps:
- Select the chat you want to add a contact to.
- Touch the human (iPhone) icon or “ ⋯ ” (Android) in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Touch " ＋ ”.
- Select one or more contacts, then touch “ OK ” in the upper right corner of the screen.
